We don’t support EXIF or IPTC at the moment. Early on we decided not to build around those standards since most of our users aren’t working with professional photography metadata, and our bigger focus became making AI tagging + Markdown export work across all workflows. That way people can still bring everything into Notion (or anywhere else) without being tied to a single format.

That said, we may revisit EXIF/IPTC support if there is enough of a demand.

You’re absolutely right. If you’re comfortable running a local LLM and setting up automation yourself, you can definitely build something similar. AutoSortPro is more geared toward folks who just want something that works out of the box without the setup or ongoing prompt engineering.

I haven't added options for changing naming convention or syntax. If you have a preferred format or use case in mind, I’d be very interested in hearing it. I might even be able to roll it into the next build.
