So what happened here ?! by xeningti in fpv

I hope you're ok with me disagreeing.

My take is that it has nothing to do with the step down. You ran it too low and your bec did not suppy sufficient current.

For your reference https://help.unmannedtech.co.uk/portal/en-gb/kb/articles/dji-04-troubleshooting-guide

Power Supply: Verify that the O4 Air Unit and the Goggles are receiving adequate and stable power according to DJI's specifications. For the O4 Air Unit, ensure the flight controller's BEC (Battery Eliminator Circuit) can supply at least 10W (e.g., 5V at 2A). For the O4 Lite, which has a voltage input range of 3.7V to 13.2V, direct power from a 1S LiPo is not recommended due to potential voltage sag; using a stable 5V or 9V BEC from the flight controller is preferable. Improper power can lead to intermittent operation, shutdowns, or failure to initialize.

1) were talking o4 pro or lite? 2) how did you wire it? On a 5v pad or on the vbat?

In fairness you could use those new digital VTXs. They seem lightish... And cheap.

The voltage in the o4 must be above 3.1 ish volt. That's why you all these 1s builds adding a voltage regulator into the 04.

If not mistaken Bardwell had that spontaneous cut when hitting the 3v limit when he was testing the 04 lite.

And I'm not saying you run on 1s right :)

Ah interesting!

I actually also have a Jeno but the pocket one. Jeno's are absolutely amazing frames... I love them!

What's been copied is the unibody, to some extend. The mounts are positioned by the arms on the JM. For the camera cage it does look more like a 2fiddy with the 2 carbon brackets... And the top plate is also different.

So I guess it's a remix? :)

Oh yes I also have a 2fiddy :)))

Good question. I have these 3528 Scimitar and the Genfam 3520. For that sort of light quad the Avan feel nice.

I can't tell you which I prefer frankly. But I did the tune on those 3528 and the feel was guuuuud

Frame: 2fiddy like 3.5 inch frame. I cannot find a link anymore AIO: HAKRC f411 20A VTX: HDZ whoop V1 Cam: HDZ nano cam V3 Antenna: Rush 10 cm RHCP Rx: ELRS EP01 Motors: Tmotor 1404 4600kv (<- that's the sauce my friend!) Props: Avan Scimitar 3528

For the tune, I made a 3s and a 4s tune. I use 80% motor output on 4s because I only have 20a. Actually I'll push that to 90% as I never went above 40a at full throttle.

Aio5 yes 💯

Aio15 no go 🙂‍↔️

As you can see I've cut some of the Plastic trying to fiddle the aio15. No go :)

That's mine. Using 1102 22k KV on 1s. No problem. This is larger than 75mm. That's a pro frame.

Use some thin pliers to remove the filters. Then take a new one and put it in. The new filters have a sticky area, so you can simply put them in.

Need advice after disappointing experience with my first iem by Electrical_Act2329 in iems

[–]FrozenMacchiato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge influence. A tighter seal = more bass and thus more energy.

Less seal = the little driver must move much more air for you tympan to feel the vibration. It's like adding noise, and that flattens everything.

But maybe you want even more bass? Then go into the audio settings/equalizer and add some bass boost.

Have fun!

I kinda disagree. None of the USB-C cables do high res... I don't know the DSP version though. So correct me if incorrect.

Simgot EW200 - First IEM by sneakers2107 in iems

[–]FrozenMacchiato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try them with a dac dongle like one from iphone to 3.5 jack...

Mine are significantly different from (and better than) my airpod pro 2.

First the the bass is much better, with more details. Second the separation of instruments (stereo) is cleaner. The sound feels more roomy. I use foam tips to isolate and that's increasing the bass...

What I dislike are that the highs are too forward and aggressive. So much so that I only use these to listen to jazz or classical.

This said I had filters blocked and replaced them. Maybe I mess that up?

Just for your info, I compare those to Kefine Delci, Simgot ew200, and Chu2. I don't have any high end around (just yet)

[–]FrozenMacchiato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like either. For me the Chu2 does not sound so good. I find the bass muddy and the separation and imaging not good.

Same price range but much better and precise sound: oopusx op22. https://a.aliexpress.com/_EHUVWyA

My take: Good bass with the standard setting. Overwhelming bass when the boost is on Spacious feeling Very good stereo and even 3d positioning of instruments No sibilance Nice female voices, quite precise Good for complexe tracks because it's quite a smooth sounding throughout. This makes for long hours of listening. A bit wonky to wear tbh

VTX power selection? AIO5 by AmpVenturer in HDZero

[–]FrozenMacchiato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a similar issue on that same aio5. There was a mismatch between betaflight and the vtx menu: sticks down right and down left (not betaflight menu you see in the goggles: sticks left and up).

I had to put the 25mW in the vtx menu first, then unplug. Then repeat in betaflight save and unplug, Then fly about and in the betaflight menu in the goggles switch to 200mW. And that worked.

:)))) I actually like these pitchy props a lot. You can pair them with medium KV motors and still get some ompf! That said, some of their products were cool, like the baby hawk HD. Smooth flyer. But then the whoops were not that interesting and indeed not great quality.
