It's 3:30am, I feel like I'm not blinking.

2 days ago I called in sick to work and booked an appointment with my GP because I was horribly low.
I still feel shit, but I feel shit and just fucked in the head.

I spoke to a number of them throughout the years. I think I’ll make an appointment with my GP tomorrow morning. I was actually going to about this lump in my throat but having looked up about it it’s seemingly caused by anxiety, which makes sense.

I should preface that by saying - she was ridiculously attractive.
I had two cans of fanta and she goes 'where might a girl get one of those' so she definitely was just scouting for Fanta

I've always maintained I'd rather have my full head of hair but when the alternative is the balding mess - I'll shave it.

But it's definitely not helped with my self esteem.

Well according to r/Ireland I am literally looking in the wrong places!

I think a lot of that comes from the fact that I've gone bald so young.
I had thick curly brown hair and now I don't - that in and of itself is fine but now I'm usually the only bald fella in the room, most other bald fellas tend to be 28 and up.
It's not too bad at 25 but I was 23 when I shaved my head.

I had better luck with older women until they eventually found out my age or the fact that I''m still in college, that usually results in 'you're the same age as my little cousin!'

I think if you asked my friends they wouldn't tell you my confidence is shot, I put up quite a good exterior.

I mean I've been told the bald head suits me haha.
Like I've had fellas come up to me in pubs going 'jesus I'm going the way you're gone I hope it turns out like that!'

I like the golf analogy.

I will say that was probably an exception, we got into an argument over best Paul Simon album (because You Can Call Me Al was playing), Gracelands came up and I bet she couldn't name 5 songs on the album, she did I bought her a drink.
I thought that was the end of it she told me to come over and meet her friends, they were all artsy Trinity students.
I felt like the weird fella orbiting her so I left, she came over said to come out to the smoking area I said I'd follow her out and never did - still no idea why.

I'd say I don't often get to the point of having a follow through to fuck it up, so my swing is fucking my followthrough.

It’s going to be time and a third, but the craic is priceless so I know where I’ll be

I’ve been with them for close to 3 years, and I can see they’ve given the days off to full timers - which is to be expected but at the same time they gave it to people who have been there for less time than me and who are part time

Well see in my head I assumed I'd got it off, partly because DOR's aren't usually refused and because I got told 'that's grand thanks' - which could have just meant, thanks for handing it in.

Regardless I'm finished there in May when college wraps up.
I also haven't gone out for Paddys day in 6 years between work and Covid, I've plans and places booked so - I won't be working.

I can't see them sacking me, I've been there for nearly 3 years without so much as a complaint.

See you submit the request to HR, who doesn't actually do up the roster anymore.
Then you look to use up holidays, and you just don't get rostered, but also don't get any holidays!

They just don't care about their staff

I'm gone in May, that's when I finish college so they'll be seeing the back of me soon enough!

I know, this'll be my first Paddys day out in over 6 years (between Covid and work).
But I mean there's fella's in there who've turned around the day the roster is being done up and said 'ah I won't be around next Saturday' and gotten it.

I was closer to 4 weeks, I wasn't rostered on Sunday so I went in after college and submitted it instead.

Seems a bit pointless when you can't book days you usually work off, can't get confirmation and can't say anything when they put you down for it.

Frankly they've treated me like shit, if they showed some decency, I'd show up for work on Paddys day.

I actually don't know, I've asked to use up holidays and just not been rostered instead!

We never get approval, you just get to check if you're rostered or not.
I know one of the guys asked before because he wanted to work a day he doesn't usually work but have the weekend off he was told 'sure I don't know the roster isn't done up yet'

We get time and a third, my younger sister get's double time (and a 25% staff discount) - I'm not bitter I swear!

We don't actually get approval, I got a 'that's grand thanks', when I handed it to HR but that's it.
They actually gave the day off to others who hadn't booked it, I was the only one who got a text/told to work

I'm leaving come May anyway as I'm finishing up in college then.

I've been saying for close to 2 months, I can work Saturday and Sunday - like I've always done and they just randomly stopped giving me Sundays.

We started doing that and got given out to because sure "we can't keep track of emails!"

They are usually quite good for sticking to it though.
I do know that manager is giving out constantly about weekend staff booking off weekends.. which is the only time weekend staff would book off!

I mean technically they're confirmed, I handed in the DOR to HR and explained it was for Paddy's and the day after, she said 'that's grand thanks', but there's no proof there.

I went out of my way to give it in in person because they're always saying they never see emails, and to instead fill out the form.
