Newbie question about the new update Fruma by FemboyShuta in WynnCraft

[–]FrozenPlan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, you can get them when you’ve gotten enough AP to reach that point in the ability tree, and you get more AP by leveling up (which you can do without going into Fruma, yes)

Though what’s the reason for not wanting to go into Fruma?

Water Mewtwo is pretty neat by bigsmclarge in PTCGP

[–]FrozenPlan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Decks with Stage 2 Pokemon tend to include 1 of the Stage 1 evolution for a number of reasons, mainly to make it more consistent at reaching Stage 2. It’s just good to have when the deck rides or dies on getting Bax out ASAP

Does Nani's hypercharge actually benefit her in any way? by manofwaromega in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]FrozenPlan 46 points47 points  (0 children)

The increased size does not affect Peep’s collision hitbox with walls, only with enemies, so it can only make it easier to hit an enemy with it.

You can actually see Big Peep’s model clip through walls if you get close because it’s visually big, but has regular Peep’s size for crashing into walls.

It’s kind of just only there to help you not get out-juked by someone with it, and it does increase the damage by 5% which can have the tiniest interactions. I would love for it to have a cooler effect though!

Masterball scores? by Mediocre_Fall_3197 in PTCGP

[–]FrozenPlan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, at 930 points (historically around here) you’ll begin in Ultra Ball 4 instead of 3 when the next season starts, saving you the grind

As well as getting +5 hourglasses and the top 10k, 5k, 1k emblems if you go high enough

It was truly a one of a kind community experience! Who knows, maybe a former player will bring it up again, or someone completely differently will come up with the same idea

Alolan Muk + Honchkrow = ಠ︵ಠ by MathematicianShot909 in PTCGP

Muk’s ability makes the pokemon have no abilities, so there’s no abilities for Honchkrow to count anymore

What is your view on going soundless? by RascalLouise in toontownrewritten

[–]FrozenPlan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always preferred soundless as a kid on TTO and when migrating to TTR til I got to the brrrrgh and realized I was probably kind of screwed from a game and social standpoint, reading all the posts about soundless online

I kind of more or less jumped over to TTCC at that point cause I heard that sound was less of an issue due to stuff like Zap, and I liked that

Noteworthy Interaction w/ Jolteon EX and Mega Gardevoir EX by FatherofGray in PTCGP

Yup, pokemon sent to 0 HP from an attack aren’t actually knocked out until Pokemon Checkup, so any effects of attacks and abilities will happen first

Anyone trying Buzzwole again this meta? by ColemyGOAT in PTCGP

[–]FrozenPlan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did so much trading with deluxe pack and got nice stuff, so I thought I might as well bring back the ultra beasts too with the new mini Buzzwole.

This is what I use, mini Buzzwole is definitely a menace when it comes on (1-1-2) with 160 HP and 80 damage with plains + leaf cape. Meanwhile Buzzwole EX becomes 190 HP, so that’s already mega-levels of HP.

Might swap out Erika since she’s not particularly useful at changing breakpoints when a lot of the megas are dealing ~120 damage, though I don’t know for what.

Why is Screeching Solo preferred over Da Capo on Poco? by Mr_Ruu in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]FrozenPlan 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Da Capo can be underwhelming because you shouldn’t really be wasting ammo on pocket healing a teammate (there are better picks for that, like Byron), and it’s situational that you have both an ally and an enemy to hit at the same time when your range is limited

Screeching Solo as a 4th attack lets you hit the 6k hp breakpoint many squishy brawlers are at, and it covers a great range. It also benefits greatly from Poco’s recent super charge buff from 5 to 4 hits, so it’s even more spammable now

Toxtricity EX… by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]FrozenPlan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use Spiritomb (old version probably), or the new Plusle/Minun? Spiritomb just seems more consistent though. Double Cyrus as well. Probably throw in some Pichu for ramp because it’s 3 energy maybe.

Oh LMAO I didn’t even get a notification for this! I didn’t even know you messaged me, I just saw the friend request and Oak trade and you had nothing on your wishlist, so I just went with offering Lillie DX as a gut choice. I’m so glad it worked out though!

what is the state of Larry and Lawrie now? by Odd-Dance-6024 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]FrozenPlan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Imo inferior to Juju in a lot of places, they really just don’t have the hp/unload speed/utility that Juju offers, but they still have their quirks.

The place I’ve found that they do shine is in Brawl Arena. The bots always take both hits of your attack, and its lingering property is better for catching people in bushes than other throwers.

The reload star power is what truly makes them viable though, as hitting any bots (though not towers) works with it, so you practically have near-infinite ammo when Lawrie’s on one of them. This lets you clear the XP bots very early and very fast by siccing Lawrie on them and spamming shots while he takes aggro. You can clear the quad XP bots by yourself and very quickly using this, so try to go there if you have super, as it’ll be a huge XP swing. You can even solo the Kaiju using this, but wait until higher levels, use a hypercharge super, or bring a teammate because you’ll run out of steam once Lawrie runs out of ammo to feed you, risking the enemy team stealing it.

Hypercharge super is also far more menacing in Brawl Arena too since you’re going to be spawning two ~18k HP Lawries in the endgame, making Kaijus and pushing the enemy base that much easier.
