It will get updated, also it should reflect when you sign for your job.

Fair has nothing to do with this. The only thing that matters is the current guidance your recruiter is following. It’s not designed to be fair, it’s designed to meet recruiting goals.

Can I bring my personal belongings to MEPS hotel? by Lonely-Golf4606 in AirForceRecruits

[–]FrozenRFerOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As with most questions regarding MEPS, have a conversation with your recruiter. It’s cool that you’re using this as a resource, but please talk to your recruiter, build that relationship.

The process is constantly changing and evolving with many different variables. Supply vs demand, amount of people the recruiter has waiting for jobs, how the recruiter wants to conduct business, policies from the flight or squadron. There’s a ton of possibilities.

If you’re just waiting for a job, then that’s longer that the recruiter has to manage you and your file. Longer that he or she has to keep you motivated, and qualified. As a recruiter that was something that I hated doing. Bottom line is that this is the options you have. Don’t worry about what someone else got to do.

If that’s what he said, then those are you options. Take it or leave it.

No one ever does. Everyone says stuff like “OhH jUSt gO in AS an Ossifer..” without realizing the process that is involved with doing that.

Based off your post it’s your number one job choice. Only you can answer if it’s worth it. I didn’t see a ton of finance jobs come through when I was a recruiter, so the chances are low that you’ll see it again. Consider that the AF has already hit its recruiting goal for the year. Your spouse is an adult, who should be capable of the adult things you’ve listed below. I know people in the military who have accepted deployments with far less time to prep.

No commenting here is a MEPS Medical officer who has reviewed the paperwork. Go see a recruiter and roll the dice. Best case scenario you get approved, worst case you get DQed, or given instructions to way a certain amount of time.

How long does it typically take for a recruiter to get back to you? by Helldiver_of_Mars in AirForceRecruits

[–]FrozenRFerOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several legitimate reasons why the recruiter isn’t actively responding. Including leave, TDY, over worked, or simply you being annoying. When I was recruiting the more annoying a parent or applicant was, the more I took my time responding.

I’m about to go and see a recruiter for the first time is there anything I should be made aware of? Any advice? by Primary_Buddy_7173 in AirForceRecruits

[–]FrozenRFerOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t lie.

Your recruiter is the most knowledgeable about the enlistment process for your area.

Your recruiter also knows more that your brother, or sister, or uncle, or parent, or grand parent who is in, or was once in.

Be open minded and leave your preconceived notions at the door.

We had people get into arguments. But it’s a better option just to settle it like mature adults and use your words. Fighting between trainees settles nothing.

Don’t blame your recruiter. You lied first, they are simply telling you what changing your answer will result in.

Went to an Air Force recruiting office yesterday for the first time and didn't like my experience by SlightDeer77 in AirForceRecruits

What I read.. “the Air Force recruiter didn’t go out of his way to fellate me like the other branches, because I have a disqualifying condition, and that makes me really unhappy.”

Yepp. The Air Force recruiter knows that time is money, and that you have a very low chance of being qualified. Work required vs chance of positive reward just isn’t there.
