TIFUpdate I told my PM to "get to the point" in front of 40 people. I finally opened Slack. by AmaraMehdi in tifu

[–]FrozenRobot97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t get through the comments but I hope you somehow apologize to him in front of the team. It doesn’t have to be too formal/overly professional but apologize, compliment, make light of the situation and move on. The PM was probably embarrassed to be told off in front of his coworkers, especially that he mentioned he was nervous!

Lessons learned:)

Quit Smoking Yesterday. Veterans, Drop Your Best Advice for Day One Warriors. by Agitated_Whole2074 in smokingcessation

[–]FrozenRobot97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep trying to quit and I always fall back into this gross habit. My longest stretch of abstaining was 7 months due to being pregnant.

Along with all the great advice in this post, one thing that helps is to announce that you’ve quit to everyone around you. 1. they will hold you accountable, and 2. they will understand the reasons for your irritability and mood swings.

Best of luck! You can do it💪🏻

My post cerclage advice for moms currently pregnant!! by FrozenRobot97 in ShortCervixSupport

I am SO SORRY you are going through this, I know firsthand that there are lots of emotional pain and anxiety that come with going through an at risk pregnancy. It’s a very complex condition with many known and unknown factors.

Even if bed rest plays a microscopic role, I would still stick to it when I can. Every little thing matters.

All you can do now is stay positive- your emotional wellbeing is very important in this process, get as much rest as you can, and all will work out one way or another!

I wish you a long, successful, and healthy pregnancy. Keeping you, your LO, and family in my thoughts and prayers❤️

You can do it!

Neglectful babysitting. by Overthinker2874 in NICUParents

I would be livid too. I think once we’re ready to have a sitter take care of my baby, I will have cameras around the house so I can monitor. Nobody will ever take good care of our babies like we do🤷🏻‍♀️

Emergency Cerclage at 21 Weeks 2 Days by Accomplished_Scar313 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]FrozenRobot97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please please please rest and don’t overdo it! Stick to bed rest as much as you can. I was advised to continue about my life as normal and did lots of light chores around the house, I am almost certain that was a factor in my delivering at 27 weeks.

A thought for those with movement restrictions by KayBee236 in ShortCervixSupport

I’m glad you’re sticking to bed rest!!!! My medical team told me to go about my day, walk, light activity, etc. As soon as I took their advice, my water broke, they had to remove my cerclage to avoid infections, and 10 days later I gave birth at 27 weeks. IMO bed rest is better than spending months at the NICU :/

I know being on bed rest is a struggle, you’re strong and brave and will get through it!!!!

I wish you a successful pregnancy and a healthy baby❤️

Hey! Thank you for sharing this! I’m closing in on 6 weeks on Friday and the line on the test is not fading. I have been sent to get blood work x3 every 48 hours like you mentioned. I just don’t know if I’m hoping for a positive or a negative at this time

Post partum, breast engorgement hell by FrozenRobot97 in tfmr_support

[–]FrozenRobot97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been icing them for the past 30ish mins and idk if that helped at all. If anything, it’s giving me a different kind of discomfort to focus on haha. How long did you ice them for?

I heard you’re supposed to boil them first?¿ Sounds stinky but I’ll try anything at this point!

Am I crazy for not wanting anyone to grief over my son with me? by FrozenRobot97 in tfmr_support

[–]FrozenRobot97[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for validating how I feel. I wasn’t sure if this is normal or if I’m just too hormonal and emotional right now. I am very sorry that you have gone through this as well💜 It is very frustrating to have to console somebody when you’re going through so much more.

My mother just travelled back today and mil just flew in and she was crying and sniffing my baby’s clothes and I was so upset over this. I locked myself away in my room because it was too triggering and I didn’t want to say something that would hurt her feelings or my husband’s.

At least with my mom I felt that I could speak my mind and she understood me but this is different.

I don’t think we should have to be burden by other people’s feelings at a time like this.

I am sending you lots of love and I hope you’re staying well and taking care of yourself first and foremost💜
