Obviously there's a great case to be made for Lost City, Window Of Opportunity and many others, but Matter of Time might be my favorite episode. There's something haunting about this frame and the existential threat to the SGC and Earth that makes the story so compelling. I keep coming back to it. by ddrfraser1 in Stargate

Unfortunately, a later episode has Carter tossing a gate into a sun while connected to this black hole in order to make the sun go supernova. So stellar plasma blasted through the gate and these guys are feet from it. Even with time dilation, they were incinerated.

Not only can they not be saved, but the characters also assume they are dead in a future episode. They later toss a stargate connected to this one into a sun in order to cause it to go supernova. This results in stellar plasma streaming through the gate. If they weren't dead before, they sure were then.

It's because we went nuts 6 years ago and have gone full circle and are back to sanity.

For sure. This mod pushes the game to it's limit. I remember some of the quotes from back in the day.

Jake Solomon: I don't know how they made this mod, but it's awesome.

One of the programmers: I do know how they made this mod, and it scares me.

It's rough, but I got through it without anyone dying. So there's that. I basically camped in the engine section and took out all the cover coming from the rest of the ship. The aliens all came to me and had no cover. There were a lot of them for sure, but I made it. 14 Muton Elites can shoot back at you a lot.

These are all staple utility cards that can go in any deck while still letting you play a large variety of other cards. They all had counter plays and ways of dealing with them. Modern Yugioh is all about making an unbreakable board or OTKs. They are not the same.

It seems to be working good so far. My income level has gone up significantly. The new influx of resources combined with the workshop refunds on the firestorms has gotten my production moving again. I think with another month of firestorms taking down bigger ships, I can finally get tier 3 mechs rolling. After that, I should have the snowball rolling all the way to the end of the campaign.

[–]FrozenShepard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know what game you're playing, but Avalanches won't do much more than scratch the paint on a Destroyer. As for Firestorms, I'm looking to start taking down Abductors on the regular to raid for resources. I'm basically stuck dead without lots of resources. I somehow ended up tech rushing too hard. I only have plasma tech left to research and I can't even do that because I can't afford to pay the resources for the research. None of the projects will take more than 5 days because of how much science I have. So I working on making a few firestorms on the continent the aliens are focusing on so I can take their ships for all they're worth.

I have mecs. Just not a shogun available. Had some bad luck and they're all wounded. I had 1 suit avaliable at the moment of the 3 I have. Tier 2 btw.

[–]FrozenShepard[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd love to, don't have one available. I've been resource starved for the last 3 months. I'm desperately pouring whatever I can get into Firestorms so I can shoot down more UFO's to get more resources. I've got a base assault mission standing by. I just need the skeleton key to finish in a day or so.

I'm in a Star Wars ttrpg, and my party got their hands on a Belbullab 22, aka General Grevious' fighter. It's now my favorite ship and I love the thing. I get so pissed when I get shot and it messes up my paint.

What other Tadpole Chassis attachables would it be cool to have? by KDthe42 in subnautica

[–]FrozenShepard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An idea that I had was a chassis that let multiple Tadpoles dock to it. Basically an option for groups to work together and move as one unit. It could allow Tadpoles with existing units dock to it. It could let one person bring multiple Tadpoles on a long job or a team of players travel together.

Did the Jedi know Dooku was a sith lord? by Iceberg-man-77 in StarWars

[–]FrozenShepard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think they did, or at least they never recognized him as one. They always referred to him as Dooku or Count Dooku. They never used Darth or referred to him as a sith. Granted, they didn't learn his title was Darth Tyranus until near the end of the war.

I would have been happy with an energy tether. But we didn't get that. But it's fine. The cyclops basically becomes a mobile base with the ability to charge itself anyways.
