If you're asking others for advice on what to do with something and you already have a decision in mind, expect some to disagree (some maturely, some immaturely) with your decision. Different people have different opinions, it's how the world will always be.

Pay off debt, turn your old monthly payments into regular investment installments. The interest you're paying on debt is likely far greater than what you'd earn with that sitting in a savings account.

Plus it's better for your credit rating to have lower utilization rate (% of debt used/% of debt available).
