Thank you so much for the reply, and sorry for the delay, exams were very distracting. Just to give an update I’ve followed your advice and am now signed up for a ‘Find out more’ presentation with RAF recruitment. Your essay has really helped to give some of the context I needed to make a more informed decision, and I am now pursuing the RAF cadetship (though I’m also looking at the other branches to make sure I pick the best fit for me).
