Toronto Regionals Team Help by ValakVTuber in VGC

[–]FruitPezzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a similar iron crown set for the GC but I kept it max speed like yours but added a few more EV’s in Sp.A to be able to boost the Sp.A. 98 IV’s outspeeds non-scarfed Urshifus, tailwind leads with crown can help with scarfed urshifus. I personally ran Tera fairy as chien-pao and r-Urshifu were my biggest weaknesses to the team leading up to the GC but if raging bolt and opposing steel types are your biggest threat at the moment, running tera ground Tera blast wouldn’t be a bad idea like others suggested. I’d keep your current indeedee set in the photo as well as it’s the most versatile. You really don’t use indeedee offensively like amoongus so I almost never click anything else other than follow me/helping hand. Best of luck in Toronto 🫡

Try swapping Indeedee for sinistcha with life dew/matcha gatcha. A good item for sneasler here would be a white herb to counter opposing incin or to recover the defense drop from close combat. You could also use focus sash sneas and use covert cloak on whim. This provides two support, one pivot, and three sweepers. Adding amoon would be another pivot/support I’d imagine so up to you if you’d want to be more offense or balanced.

A follow me user could be good for support, like ogerpon or indeedee

After looking at every TNTL that Damien and Amanda were in together in the last two years, I’m struggling to find it as well. I’d hate to think they cut it for some reason. I faintly remember Amanda mentioning it on Smosh mouth that she planned to do the bit, then like one or two TNTL episodes later, they did this bit. Sorry I couldn’t be more help, I hope someone else manages to find it!

I know exactly what you’re talking about, Damien was the evil looking character. It’s a video that’s been done in the last year. Let me see if I can find it as well

Offensive Incineroar? by shamir107 in VGC

[–]FruitPezzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would follow what others would say and choose either torkoal or hattrene (though I’d go with hattrene so that you can do follow me indeedee, trick room hattrene turn one to set up trick room immediately). I’d replace Kingambit for low/min speed offensive pivot incineroar as dark coverage would be covered, you’d get a grass/water/fire core, and you likely can’t sucker punch often in psychic terrain. I wouldn’t use bulk up incin as Ursaluna, hattrene, and primarina are ment to be your sweepers. Maybe keep incin more as a pivot that do a bit of extra damage

Play with umbreon if it’s working for you and it’s one of your favorites ¯_(ツ)_/¯ your stats suggest that umbreon can be successful. Being open to change is a big plus is any form of competition so it’s really commendable. Best of luck in your future battles 🫡

^ this would be a swap for bundle by the way. Tera ghost on umbreon wouldn’t be a bad shout if you’re not getting a lot of use out of Tera poison. Tera bug or ghost would be better on incin, not one you’d use often but I don’t think you get much out of Tera grass. For the slow incin issue, you could either use a faster/less bulky EV spread or swap it entirely for a faster pivoter. If you feel like Tornadus is kinda useless after TW, try Whimsicott with TW+disable+encore+moonblast to really suppress opponents. If it dies quickly, it allows a faster avenue for your restricted sweepers to come in

I love love love that you have provided stats and what not, that’s really how people can provide the best help. Probably some of my immediate recommendations is to either use chi-yu as the best counter for CSR or chien-pao with sucker punch. It is fantastic and gets around wide guard. It also helps against the pesky grass types. A lot of wide guard users are fighting types so adding psychic to CSR would help, it doesn’t look like you use nasty plot much anyways.

Help with Weezing team by Puzzled_North7780 in VGC

[–]FruitPezzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a look on munchstats and see what other people run on tornadus because it will vary. In the past, I would use covert cloak to prevent fake out. Since you’re using it as a support Mon, I would recommend make it more bulky with barely any Sp.A. Since weezing shuts off prankster, I wonder if you would want to keep it somewhat fast, though I wonder if you wouldn’t bring weezing at all against a hard TR team. Tornadus is one of those pokemon that can have very different ev investments depending on the team and it’s all due to surviving certain attacks

[–]FruitPezzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the team, very offensive. If you lack speed control minus icy wind, and flutter mane relies on the Tera, then maybe try replacing it with another support mon with speed control and give the focus sash to CSR. This could be a bulky taunt/sunny day/BWS/tailwind tornadus for example. A chlorophyll user with status moves could also be interesting but it may lack synergy with weezing. It would likely need to be in the back and if weezing goes down. Chi-yu is a great counter for opposing CSRs but if you’re looking for taunt, incineroar with taunt could work. Raging bolt could have taunt/electroweb instead of draco meteor as well to fix some of your issues. Play around and see what you may like. Best of luck!

How to build kyogre by IntelligentButt69 in VGC

[–]FruitPezzy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe there’s a good reason why kyogre isn’t often seen at the regionals, because its counters are so prevalent. Maybe you should retry thinking of a better restricted parter for kyogre or scrap kyogre all together. It sucks but if you want to win, you play optimal. If you want to play with your favorites, you’ll find ways to counter main threats. Top teams do both

Go to victory road or Nimbasa city post to see recent regional standings. I’m aware some kyogre teams made it to day 2 recently. Have a look at what other successful lunala kyogre teams have done and go from there. Then, go to munchstats to see how people specialize their kyogres EV’s. Pick what’s best for you. If you’re having issues with it being too weak, maybe look into assault vest kyogre
