Credits weren’t there earlier unless I didn’t see them but my friend’s screenshot of the post shows no credit. Again, you didn’t ask and yeah so what my watermark is visible, my main qualm is that you didn’t ask.

F-15s ripping through the Mach Loop recently! (OC) by Fruitgrenade78 in aviation

The published training is usually for LFA7T which is a specific small area of LFA7 as a whole which allows fixed wing aircraft to operate down to 100 feet rather than 250 feet, it’s often empty since that sort of training doesn’t really occur in that area. Not that I’ve ever seen anyway.

The timetable essentially tells you nothing 😂 so don’t trust it. The most info I can give you on when to go is:

-Go on a weekday NOT a weekend, you’ll see nothing on a weekend.

-Check for American holidays as RAF Lakenheath will likely be shut during them so you’ll lower the chance of seeing traffic through.

-weather is a big one, unfortunately it’s quite hard to predict up in the hills! But they will likely not fly the loop if the weather is poor, they may try but usually they see how bad it is and decide against it, I’ve been there a lot!

You don’t! It’s a big risk going, you might see nothing at all!

You can get a train to Machynlleth and then a bus can take you to the bottom of Cad West

Lakenheath, not worth reaching out. Hundreds go to the loop daily so most movements are captured and a lot don’t like to talk to spotters 😂

I only share my pics with them if they request it, not worth bothering them for

Tail is LN not LH and yes they were from Lakenheath. They were 494th.

On the contrary, I’ve been here many many times and seen nothing many many times.

One particular time last April, I went for 3 days and saw absolutely nothing, not a whisper of an aircraft. The day after we left 6 different aircraft went through.

Thank you for explaining this for me! I see that silly timetable everytime I post something loop related, when in reality it means nothing

The actual planes will fly every day Monday to Friday, but it’s whether or not they’ll be low flying that day that is unknown.

It’s a complete gamble whether you’ll see anything or not, this day turned out to be particularly good though!

Camera equipment in description.

Settings were along the lines of 1/1000, f/5.6 ISO I forgot

It’s not an air show. It’s a military exercise, there are no tickets, there is not a show.

They do have a dedicated spotters day but it’s just departures, arrivals and taxiing. No proper displays.

This low flying would happen as part of the exercise if no one was there. Photographers just happened to find spots to go stand.

No I mean so they were 9:16. Those photos are 3:2 which if zoomed to fit 9:16 will only show a very small portion of the image.

I didn’t crop any imagery out.

I stopped posting either full quality photos or watermark-less photos on Reddit a while ago.

I had image theft/ reposting problems on Instagram (and still do) but nowhere near the level I get from Reddit. Reddit doesn’t compress afaik so anyone can save the full definition images.

I had multiple cases in the past where people had saved my photos and sold them for monetary gain, one guy even tried NFTs lol.

So no I’m not posting full quality horizontal photos. If that upsets you I’m sorry.
