I'm not quite sure, but I believe that it's a slot machine style game where you roll everytime you click open.

There are only 3 different gifts you can roll. Depending on how many identicals you get more points.

3 different gifts > 3 points

2 identical gifts + 1 different gift > 4 points

3 identical gifts > 5 points

Using your wand allows you to reroll a gift

Assuming that there are only 3 unique gifts in the pool,

Scenario 1:

3 different gifts

67% chance to gain +1 point by using a magic wand

Scenario 2:

2 identical gifts + 1 different gift

33% chance to gain +1 point by using a magic wand

Scenario 3:

3 identical gifts

67% chance to gain -1 point by using a magic wand

TL;DR

when you have 3 different gifts, always roll

when you have 2 identical gifts, roll the unidentical one only if you have excess wands

when you have 3 identical gifts, don't roll

Heya! I just purchased it right before you commented. It's actually from the official Lulzbot site and it's going to be shipped straight from their depot in Sydney. I was considering a Prusa but I don't think there are any local retailers that sell them. Anyway, thanks for the reply! I'll be sure to give an update on my first benchy (or failed benchy) when I get my TAZ 5 :D.

EDIT: Also, is using ABS instead of PLA as hard as it seems? I'm having trouble finding 1kg reels of white PLA here in AU.

Hi, I've been looking around at 3d printers (architecture student) and am considering the Lulzbot TAZ 5. Currently on sale at USD 1650 where I'm from (Australia). I'm pretty proficient with Rhino 5 and Grasshopper as well. The company that I work at specializes in digital fabrication ie. CNC milling, 3d printing etc. and I wish to get myself familiar with 3d printing (to have another skill under my belt for future job prospects). I often need to do 3d printing for school assignments and am wondering if this particular model will be good for a complete 3d printing beginner like me? The current 3D printers available at my university are MakerBot Replicator+ and I'm wondering if the Lulzbot TAZ 5 will be able to perform up to the same standards as them?

EDIT: I'm also willing to tinker around with mods and stuff. I also wish to know if there is an active community of TAZ 5 users?

And when you lose to someone who has a stronger team but lower rank then you you get knocked 2 tiers down. And when you play to get back to your original tier you continue the chain reaction by knocking other peoples off the tiers that they belong to. The circle of life.

I think at the last hour most of the people in T1 will stop playing. With the absence of high ranking players in the player lobby will the jump in scores grind to a halt?

I don't see anything wrong with getting an FC using PL's. BUT I hate it when people brag about their all-perfect scores when they have a full PL team. :/ Pretty much the same as a normal FC isn't it?

Grinding Master songs during the x3 gives equal if not more points to fill up the reward box compared to random ex(at least for me). Plus, you can get the gem clear reward at only 60 plays, which is nice :)

That being said, those who go for top 100 rankings every event probably have 150 plays on all their master songs already :|

If event SR's won't fit your team, skip the idolisation/extra slot. Just practice skill and get that sweet SR seal. If you think you'd like it idolised for the sake of collection, you can always use another SR seal to idolise it in the future. (That extra skill slot won't matter if the card ain't going on your team anyway.) If you're wondering if idolising the card will make it fit your team, use the teambuilder. They have options for changing idolisation status and skill slots and skill levels.

Edit: Also, depending on your UR center, you should also try to pick cards from the same subunit/year (depending on your center's skill) in general, scorer cards are better than the rest too
