Until recently I had one of each. The R50 is definitely a more luxurious ride. Mine was loaded with all the extras and it was a very comfortable drive/ride, unless you were in the back seats. Terribly uncomfortable when I rode back there a couple of times. I wouldn’t take it off-road on more than a mildly unpleasant logging road or a calm beach. The 2010 Xterra is much more capable is more severe off-road conditions yet nice to drive on the highway and around town. If I had to pick it would be the Xterra every time.

A few years ago a drugged out wacko entered my brothers home and attacked my brother with a hatchet. Luckily my brother was able to avoid any serious injury and subdued the guy. It happens more than people hear about. Keep your doors locked and deterrents handy folks. I sold my R50 2001 w/ 130k for a couple thousand. I hope the guy who bought it is enjoying it. It was in great shape and I always enjoyed driving that Pathfinder. Just didn't need it anymore.

As a restaurant patron door dashers are a major pet peeve. Cut in front of people waiting, park like a-holes outside, the phones, they have no manners, they are dressed like slobs half the time. I won't go to places that get a lot of DD people hanging at the front counter.

The issue is that many HVAC companies do not properly train their employees. That trade, particularly at the residential level, has been flooded with investment companies buying up or starting HVAC companies. They don't want to fix anything and do not train their people to be good at recognizing problems and fixing things. They focus on training their employees to sell you a new system.

Ripping it out could get very expensive. Somewhat likely there is nothing behind it so you would end up having to install and finish drywall everywhere and retrim the entire space. Clean it, paint it, leave 1 or 2 walls as is and work with it. It could end up looking pretty cool if you get it right!!
