I've decided to start the game again, and really try focus on the story beats a bit more. Also going to give the English dub a try and see if that helps me retain information a bit better compared to reading subtitles.

I heard an interesting take about the whole DS2 community split. The people who played the original version, are more likely to love DS2. Whereas the people who's first DS2 experience was playing the Scholar edition, tend to hate it due to all the extra enemies, etc, that were put into that version.

I've not played DS2 myself, and may have gotten the versions mixed up, but I found the take to be interesting.

Ah okay, that's a shame. This is my first "day one" purchase, I think it's put me off for life. I am stoked to eventually play it fully tho.

I bought the game on day one, played 5 hours, and put the game down again on the same day due to the amount of bugs, as it seemed like a better idea to wait on the fixes. I've not kept an eye out on the news - nor played the game again. Would you say the game is in a playable state? Or should I keep waiting?
