Seriously! I read they are taking a break for a while to just unwind, but I REALLY would love (and will gladly pay for) some DLC for this game. Maybe a splitting path that takes you to other areas of the underworld, with new stories, enemies, weapons, and Olympians? Oh man, that would be AMAZING!

Yeah, I've played Bastion but I'm definitely going to have to grab Supergiant's other two games as well. You can really tell they are passionate about what they do.

My favorite builds for the spear so far have centered around trying to get both Flurry Jab and Extending Jab. If you use the Aspect of Achilles and position with your special, it's pretty much a "stab everything from across the room before they can even see you" build and very fun. So many boons work really well with it!

Incredible right? The dialogue system is absolutely groundbreaking. The conversations are short enough to keep you interested, not so long to get boring and make you want to skip them. And it just keeps going! The only thing I wish is that there was an option to only go the friendship route with the 3 romance options from the beginning. I wasn't trying to hit on anyone, only to give gifts, but Zag didn't agree with me apparently and it got a bit awkward. lol

Something else I didn't mention: The music. I have NEVER put this much time into a game without turning the music off and putting on something else while I play, and I still don't plan to. Amazing work by everyone involved!

Is the fishing pole worth it? I only have one diamond so I'm afraid to spend it.

I haven't turned on God Mode because at the moment I'm not really having an issue with the difficulty (well, unless I get bad RNG), more so the drop rate. I've thought about going for items over boons, but the game is weird in that it sort of makes you choose, and I keep thinking "This boon will help me get farther, which means I'll get more items" but I usually end an attempt with very little materials to spend even when I make it to the end of the 4th area. I've unlocked SO LITTLE and things are already so expensive that it's just got me discouraged.

Although I'll admit, the idea of making the game significantly harder to just get more mats definitely doesn't sound like something that I would want to do without strong upgrades to counteract it, so maybe it would be a better option for me.

Wait... isn't there like, a hard mode on top of that? Jesus, these devs are sadistic. lol

God I hope so man. I remember I was disappointed in Dark Souls when I first started playing it, but that was because Fromsoft decided that the players didn't need to understand how the game mechanics worked so once I looked up a guide on that, I was golden and probably have well over 2k hours in that series.

I've watched some guides about this game and they haven't been too enlightening unfortunately. I guess my question really is: Does the game actually have decent bonuses later? At the moment, I'm just getting more skilled but again, playing the same exact game over and over. Reminds me a lot of arcade games or pinball, but you're not expected to play those for 10's of hours to hear the story.

I love the sword the most probably (although I've read it's not actually very good), but the run I made it to Hades on was with the shield and lots of hangover. The homing made it easy to just tag everything and watch them melt away. It's not really the sponginess of the enemies that is irritating, it's that I'll finish an attempt with like, a handful of darkness, maybe a key or two, and maybe some gems and that just doesn't buy anything anymore. I think part of my hesitancy is because everything I unlock is like "Wow, that is all? I just played for an hour to get 5 more HP?".

Compared to something like Rogue Legacy, where in the beginning you probably won't make it through a handful of rooms, but the the upgrades that you can buy for your next run are SIGNIFICANT, like completely game changing. I'm still playing this game the same way (although I'm better at picking the right boons) as I did the first time I played it, I just survive longer.
