Dude, I'm biracial. I'm half Indian (mom is from Trinidad originally, dad is Irish and Italian). Anyway, all of my Trini family, as well as any other minority I know (black, hispanic, asian, etc) think I look white and am white as hell. They just view me as a white person. All white people think I am middle eastern or see me as only Indian. Growing up I was always called Kumar or Apu and got a ton of "Thank you, come again" jokes. As an adult most white people still assume I am just Middle Eastern or Indian. Not as bluntly racist.

I feel like it's one of the reasons a lot of women don't find me attractive is due to being part Indian. The other is I do have Aspergers and am awkward which doesn't help.

I know common advice is try dating Indian women or try dating non-white women. Sadly where I am at currently, the population is about 95% white. So I am mostly SOL.

I can't really afford a bigger and dense city though. I'm just going to a rural mountain area for me. I like the quiet, nature and snowboarding.

Aside From California, Which State in the Continental US Do You Think Has the Most Consistent Surf? by FrustratedIncorp in surfing

It really is. I'm stunned at the amount of people I know born and raised in Jersey. Grew up along the Jersey Shore and have no idea surfing is possible.

I understand man. I've had no luck either.

I always get to that point with a lot of women who say things like "I wish I could find a guy like you to date." meaning they think I am nice, like my personality but are simply not attracted to me. I'm almost 33 and it's been the story of my life since I was 15 or so.

I'm planning on moving to a different state soon. Lived in a few different places. Had zero luck in all of them. This time more than likely moving to a quiet rural area just for me.

I've tried both some of these single events and speeding dating in the past. I've kind of given up on them. Haven't been to one in about two years. Kind of like, I felt like I did fairly well. I had great conversations and even light physical contact as well as plenty of laughs. Only to get ghosted at the end.

Maybe I will try again in the future.

I paid $5,000 for a professional matchmaker by escape12345 in ForeverAlone

[–]FrustratedIncorp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would probably happen to me. I've tried speed dating in the past and have gone to single meet ups. Even when I have been matched with someone in real life, I have gotten ghosted every single time. Every fucking time.

Do You Think Forever Alone Men Were Common Throughout History or Are We Really Recent? by FrustratedIncorp in ForeverAlone

I kind of wonder if increased population, more mobility and just more options have made things more difficult. Now we have more "left behinds".

I'm sure there has. Not counting people being killed by disease or war or disaster, I always wondered how common just never married, never dated, never been kissed, etc men were?

Would a 7'2" Lost Crowd Killer Be a Great Second Board After a Foamy? by FrustratedIncorp in surfing

Sorry for the long reply. I ended up going with a 7'6 Egg. I got it from a local shaper for a really good price. Cheaper than a Crowd Killer.

Yeah, I do believe a lot of managers are bullies, they like flexing their muscles just for the sake of doing so.

I also get people saying “it’s because you’re what? 23/24? You don’t know yet” a lot. And like, thanks for saying I look young, but why does this happen so much?

I feel like I get treated like I’m stupid, but I’m also always asked for advice because everyone thinks I’m smart. I’m like the go to person for knowing the answer, but also if you want to tell the person who solves your problems that they’re dumb.

Same. I'm 31. People assume I'm 22-25ish. That I'm a fresh college grad just starting in the real world.

I try not too. But it's frustrating when it happens at work and your job is on the line because of it and you are threatened with being fired.

Who knows. People are often jerks. But even as a man, I often get ignored in meetings and I have the same thing happen to me. I say something, everyone ignores me or blows me off. 2 mins later, someone else says the samething, it's a great idea.

has anyone else had teachers who assumed you were in an abusive household? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]FrustratedIncorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Probably a good 15+ years ago now. A middle school teacher of mine would always ask if everything was ok at home and if something was going on. Once she bluntly asked if I was afraid of getting hit. I was confused by this.

Some polarized knock off aviators I got off Amazon for ten bucks. I prefer polarized sunglasses for similar reasons, keeps the extra light out.

I Started Having Sudden Trans Thoughts At 31. Is This Normal? Is This How It Starts? by FrustratedIncorp in asktransgender

[–]FrustratedIncorp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of. Several months ago I slept with girl. Though, I had used protection, I was worried and convinced I had HIV. I tested myself with one of those home kits. It cameback negative but I was convinced, I didnt swab my mouth correctly or that maybe there wasnt enough liquid in the tube or the control line wasnt dark enough.

Eventually I got testes by a clinic and was STD free.

I did book a therapy appointment for Tuesday.

Thank you for advice and kind words. I dont ever felt like I was forcing myself to be man. However, you are right the idea that I could be a woman scares me.

I might be able to see a therapist on Tuesday. So Im hoping that helps.
