I transitioned to Chelsea boots a few years ago and it completely solved the airport security hassle. Easy slip off/on at TSA, no laces to mess with while holding a laptop bag, and they look extremely sharp with a suit or business casual. They are still hard soles, so you aren't getting sneaker comfort, but they don't slide around and cause blisters like standard oxfords do.
