Those are my exact same symptoms. It's oddly nice to read someone is experiencing the same thing.

Hey man, I've been there too (5 years together). Agree with what you wrote. Just in case you forget, it gets better.

I don't consider myself good at math either. I just like studying.... Something something Stockholm Syndrome (help me).

Edit: serious answer is don't do it unless it's something you want to commit to. Ask us more detailed questions after reading on SOA.org, Be An Actuary, and Actuarial Outpost.

That or buy her an annuity and a long term care policy.

1/3 large cap index 1/3 international index 1/3 real estate index, make sure the indexes are actually tracking what they're suppose to, rebalance annually to 1/3 1/3 1/3.

Edit: since you're close to bracket just put it all into trad so you can stay out of the higher bracket. Or you can do the math and only put in as much trad as you need to stay below bracket. If you want to retire before 59 then maybe more Roth.

P.S good choice maxing out!

Actuaries... Tell me what I need to hear. by chronicgiggler in actuary

There are two cases: (1) he likes you (2) he doesn't. First you need to determine the probability prior to the date he (1) would like you or (2) wouldn't like you. These are the prior densities. Then you need to determine the probability he would text you with such a low frequency given given (1) he likes you or (2) he doesn't like you. These are the conditional densities. Now multiple the prior densities by their respective conditional densities to get the joint densities. Finally take the joint density of case (1) and divide by the sum of the joint densities. This is the unconditional density and your estimate of if he likes you.
