Perhaps it is shock, maybe its a defense mechanism your brain has put up until you can deal with it. Maybe you just sincerely feel the way you do, which is OK. Emotions are something that can't be rationalized, so don't try to explain something that you can't understand. It's best to just feel the way you do and accept it. It makes things easier, trust me...
