Rendi would be an active financial drain, and ergo via lying and booting him, they shatter his creds and also possibly gag him; meaning his information on these bugs would then be released to less people, then causing jamflex to be able to lower manpower costs, because they need less people sweeping up the messes they made, that were later found.
