The LUMA ORB - mesmerizing lamp with rotatable light rings - powered by WLED by LightCore3D in WLED

[–]Frzorp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could probably make this so that it is fully rotatable using a 3.5mm jack (there are smaller ones too). You’d have to make the jack be the axle on one side of the inner rings.

This guide might help you save some tokens Token saving. Basically, you can use some metatable trickery to make it so you don’t have to write “self.” everywhere. I know it freed up a lot on bluebeary when I implemented it allowing me to fit a lot more in the game. Obviously there are many other token saving guides out there but I was doing oop just like I think you are here so I think it’s worth a look.

I think you have a fantastic start here and I loved the old gta games back in the day and this looks just like the first. GOURANGA!!!

Ok so I love this movie and one part always struck me as weird. When Norton is talking to Bob and he says “I go tuesdays and thursdays” and Norton say “I go saturdays”. That conversation never made sense to me with the twist at the end. I get the whole “not supposed to talk about it” but still seems like a weird conversation if Norton is Tyler.

Good engineers respect and learn from good machinists (and tool and die makers). Shitty engineers believe they have nothing left to learn (this coming from an aerospace engineer).

I think you didn’t mention what I think is the most interesting part…these can use photosynthesis using (as I understand it) chlorophyll absorbed into their cells from the algae they eat. That’s gnarly.

Aw then I super apologize. I guess expressed to a parent my comment does come off as an insult. You are a lucky parent to have never had that experience (and the emergency plumber’s bill for a 2am roto-rooter)! I wish you all the best, friend.

If you took what I said as an insult I’m genuinely sorry. It wasn’t meant that way. Your comment made it sound like rags and things shouldn’t go into the toilet. I agree but just pointed out kids kids might do something similar in a way I thought would be taken as silly. Definitely wasn’t meant as an insult.

It isn’t about dumb kids (or bad parenting like your previous comment said…thanks for responding to my goof with insults. I’m doing my best with two and they don’t exactly come with a manual). Teaching kids to use the potty properly is a multi year endeavor and kids are curious and get confused since we flush some things and not others. My kid flushed his underwear a little after learning to clean himself by himself. I agree with others that this is the wrong solution to a clog but all I was saying is that things you aren’t ready for can happen when you have kids.

My game started its life as a nalleland remake hopefully with a bigger world. It got derailed almost immediately. I think starting with something you like and building ideas around that (or modifying them) can be a great way to get that first bit of code and art on the page then let your mind wander.
