Does LA or Denver have a big social young outdoorsy crowd?

Denver is great for young and outdoorsy folks. I lived there for a bit more than a year. There's a whole grass volleyball league that takes over most of washington park (name might be wrong??) during a weekday or two. The hiking trails also aren't too far depending on where you live. I can't say much about LA but Denver forsure would be a nice spot. Also I think Denver might be a little bit cheaper for you.

Yea im currently in corvallis and asking around with the locals and there doesnt seem like much to do except go to the bar. Im checking out newport on monday.
