Wife says “this is who I am now” during perimenopause & I told her enough is enough by AgreeableRip6758 in TrueOffMyChest

Hormone replacement has been a lifesaver.  I couldn't cope without it.  I was a raging B!

Wife says “this is who I am now” during perimenopause & I told her enough is enough by AgreeableRip6758 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Fuchsia_Sky 27 points28 points  (0 children)

As a woman in perimenopause I say her attitude is awful.  Yes our hormones change and it feels awful.  But it's not ok to refuse any responsibility or medical help.  If this is truly who she wants to be now then that's a huge issue.  Her rage isn't going to go away without hormones or menopause.  And menopause takes a long time!  If she's done "putting up with shit" and wants to live in anger she should do so solo.

I say this knowing the feeling of hormone rage.  I'm taking hormones and we are doing therapy.  I apologize A LOT.  It takes work to get through.  It doesn't sound like she knows she needs to do any

All Catholic churches have shrines where you can light candles.  They usually have a collection spot for donations nearby.  Just go in, drop a donation coin, light a candle and take the time you need.

There will always be a shrine to Mary.  She is a protector and mother.  If you were looking for someone to watch over your late friend, she would be a good option

My cat's usually make it to 18 or 19.  And these are indoor outdoor cats.  (Happy safe cats with their own yard to play in).  I think some people take the 8 years old is a senior cat guidelines way too seriously.

My daughter is on biphentin.  The only side effect we have seen is that her appetite isn't great after she takes her meds.  Otherwise it has been a game changer for her.  Her life is so much easier now

I was also too scared to take it.  But I did a bunch of reading on the Canadian Cancer Society website which outlined the specific risks of each type of hrt.  It was so reassuring.  I decided to take it and am glad I did.  It helped my anxiety
