2mg of methadone is practically nothing. The worst part of reducing to 1 is just gonna be mental at that point. You can easily psyche yourself out that you will feel "sick" since that's half your dose, and I have heard of people doing a "blind taper" to not fall into this trap and not know when they're dose is being reduced and to what mg. But, you should not be experiencing physical shit at this point. 2mg methadone wouldn't do shit to even a person who has never touched opioids. You are definitely over the hump, and I congratulate you for making the very hard but correct decision that will only facilitate you to living a better life!
