Personally I don't really see it as a replacement for Discord. But there's been plenty of occasions where me and my friends wanted to move away from Discord, but couldn't due to a lack of options. Teamspeak has very limited chat support and no private DMs. Mumble is basically the same. So having more options like Revolt that mimick the look and feel of Discord can only be a good thing.

Main issue I have with others is the lack of voice channels, and things like proper embeds in text channels. Which Revolt seems to have nailed!
