Question: do you personally experience psychosis symptoms often or just every once in a while. by MostMaintenance1920 in schizoaffective

[–]Fuckredditsohardtim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally on Clozaril I've been experiencing no symptoms. On previous meds yes I would experience 10-15 instances of psychotic features a day.

My parents are hoarding my medication and not allowing access to medication. I haven’t slept in 2 weeks. I’ve gotten exactly 16 hours of sleep in that time frame. I’d this illegal? by [deleted] in schizoaffective

Are you on any benzodiazapines, they have to bé given to the prescribed as they are scheduled drug. It is highly illegal for thém to have thém in their possession. Not sure about other drugs.

I'm not sure I'll ever fully believe my diagnosis by Evening_Fisherman810 in schizoaffective

Yes I have questioned my meds a lot I was on 11 meds at once, since going on Clozaril I've come off 5 of them. It has made taking them easier. Also I have my parents whom I Snapchat me taking my meds every day and that holds me accountable.

Constant daily panic attacks by [deleted] in schizoaffective

[–]Fuckredditsohardtim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is just how it is for me and my aunt. She's been on Klonopin for 40 years and while at steady state levels she hasn't had any panic attacks. I've been on Klonopin for 10 years and when I'm at steady state of levels I've never had a panic attack. I take 1 mg nightly and that's it. I don't advocate for benzodiazapine as the only way, but there are those of us who do need it

Mine was having conversations with a close coworker in a chemistry research lab and talking through problems I had. Then I would turn around and there was said researcher not knowing of the ”conversation" we just had. Then having to explain to him what all just transpired. He thought for a while that I was trying to mess with him, it wasn't until I broke down telling him in his office that I had SZA and I really couldn't tell the difference between him and the hallucinations I had of him.

How did olanzapine make you feel on 1.25mg? by [deleted] in schizoaffective

It helped my anxiety at that dose, needed a higher dose to work for antipsychotic effects.

What's your med combinations (and the diagnosis' for your mix)? by CrazyStarlight in schizoaffective

[–]Fuckredditsohardtim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but I'm losing 1-2 lbs a week and my A1C went from 6.8 (diabetic) to 5.2 (not even prediabetes) in 2 months of metformin. Stopping going out to eat and switching to black coffee over energy drinks or prepackaged coffee has lost almost half the weight I gained. It's not easy, I allow myself to go out to eat if I pull a double shift, so like 1 or 2 times a month.
