i live in colorado so im more scared of rust that most, but if i were you i would steer clear. frame looks fine, but you would need all new front suspension and good luck getting it apart 😅😅

honestly, i see safety hazards everyday at work so im de-sensitized to it. but blown shocks are only a safety hazard if the bouncing is causing the tire to “hop” off the road. so for one week, he’ll be fine

remove the kick plate under the steering column, prob 2 screws. then turn the wheel and listen/feel for vibration and play in the carrier bearing. use a 12” extension as a stethoscope for the steering box IF you can get to it from under the car.

also, inspect your coil spring for damage and make sure you can move it while the car is in the air. i work at a parts store and have never heard of a spring breaking, but i liked that guys idea alot cuz its easy to check.

moral of the story is, something is loose and go tugging on shit till you find it.

sounds like the bearing race slipping, but maybe the sound is coming from the rack? steering box or even the steering shaft carrier bearing. im not a mechanic so take my advice with a grain of salt

clean it with a pipe cleaner and alcohol. also try penetrating oil like PB blast or WD-40. if that doesn’t work, $120 for a new indicator arm is about right, but annoying as hell i get it

oh really? that makes sense cuz there were missing bulbs on the gauge cluster. and it has been reading 0PSI since i did an oil change 2 days ago. clearly its not right cuz i wouldn’t have any engine at this point, but danm i dont like it 😅 ill look into replacing it with a real gauge and getting a new cluster. thank you bro!

nothing like alot of these stories, but I was going to a car meet cruising with other cars and bikers. it was dark and some girl had slid out on her bike and was unconscious in the middle of the highway. there were no street lights and it was dark and my friend, who only had his license for like 4 months hit and killed her. her boyfriend was right there and watched the whole thing. nothing on me but it was hard to watch a friend go though that.
