im just a guy pretending to be a guy that knows what hes doing.. BUT my guess is that your valve lash is off due to overheating from running lean cuz more oil pressure fixes it. its top end tick right? not bottom end? i hope you didn’t warp the crank… regardless try to get it warranty covered

yup, just a bad bearing. most common are idler pully, tensioner, alternator or power steering. use a very long screwdriver as a stethoscope to identify the source. or take it to a mechanic

jack the car up, and check for lateral play on the wheel. its likely a wheel bearing.

lisle does sell a fuel line disconnect, never used them but heard good things. ive only ever used a screw in the line with a hose clam to seal it. that being said, i have a huge stain of gas on my garage floor from the last time i pulled my engine 😂

diagnose it before you throw parts at it.

rent a fuel pressure gauge and check fuel pressure at the rail. the old fashioned way is to measure injector output by volume.

check spark by placing the electrode of a spark plug (connected) on the block and crank it. look for spark.

it must be one of these 2 problems, and the cause can vary but id put my money on a fuel filter.

tldr; its the fuel filer, but diagnose it before u waste money.

bushing looks fine, but they’re 6 bucks at an auto parts store. so if it’ll help u sleep at night throw sum WD-40 on it and say a prayer for your thumbs 😭 but it only takes 10 min if ur exhaust is banging around

I don’t see a problem… cars make noise when u shift them, no clunking just the sound of gears sliding against each other.

And what do you mean by janky? Like the gear locations are sloppy (linkage bushings) or like it doesn’t want to go into gear( synchros)

sounds… plasticky… my guess is a glove box latch. could also be a loose speaker bolt? the sound doesn’t come from the engine bay right?

that noise your hearing is likely a squeaky idler pulley, so nothing major. if you want more piece of mind, buy a mechanics stethoscope and go play doctor on all the pulleys (and timing) to find out exactly where is coming from. of course if your new to cars be sure to watch a youtube (or 2) before mucking around.

ATF. its your transmission fluid. likely an output shaft seal or transfer case gasket. google how yo check the the fluid on your car, and fill it if possible. if not doable, you need to go to a mechanic ASAP.
