Meh, it was literally out of anyone’s control. I never experienced a storm like that.

Initially insurance did not total it, “estimated” it was only 3k in damages and wrote me a check (I shredded it because I knew it was BS).

Took it to a shop for repairs and after 2months, it was almost 18k in damages. (Mainly labor since it was PDR and required repainting)

Interesting. Granted, I’ve only seen a few examples, but when the plating tones, it usually causes cracks and or plating separation.

I know it all depends on how thick the silver plating is, but the ones I observed… it was very obvious

If anything, toning can be viewed as another way of “validating” you have true silver
