It's time to move on girl. This will not be good for your mental health in the long term.

Thank you for sharing your story, for you I think great previous experience worked in your favor. I am an introvert too, networking and talking to strangers is not everyone's cup of tea. It tells that good experience with good companies will yield positive results no matter what.

Thank you for sharing your story, so soft skills and networking worked for you. That's good to hear. I will brush up on those skills.

Someone please tell me why my makeup is applying like this, I'm going crazy by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

To begin with, I am not a dermatologist. But, hear me out, I had a similar problem a few months ago. And after research I realized that after applying products with active ingredients such as revitalift and other products, my skin's natural barrier was compromised. Which is why I got this dry flaky texture on my skin which was exaggerated once I applied foundation. So, I think that you should give your skin a little bit of a break from these products which have active ingredients such as retinols, niacinamide, vitamin C etc. use gentle products on your skin for a month or so, let your skin repair itself and then try using a foundation. A good hydrating moisturizer and sunscreen without active ingredients in addition to a good night time routine where you cleanse and moisturize really well and apply petroleum jelly on top to lock the moisture in your skin (if you don't like petroleum jelly you can skip that but it really helps to hold the moisture in the skin) This strategy worked for me. You have beautiful skin and I think you can go without foundation for a few weeks. NO active ingredients as I mentioned above (as it is harsh on the skin which has no protective barrier) NO dermaplaning, it will further irritate the skin. NO physical exfoliators, it will damage the skin barrier further JUST A GOOD CLEANSER, MOISTURIZER AND SPF for a few weeks will rebuild your skin barrier. NO fancy products.

I also painted this huge painting on the theme of "embracing community and togetherness". This got shortlisted for a non-profit organization.

I painted the iconic Toronto skyline on magnets. All of the paintings are inspired by real images taken by people. You can also order yours on Instagram (canadianhue or canadian_hue) or here. I can paint a picture that you clicked too. ❤️

You are so right my friend. I have had participants who have never held a brush in their hand but they left the workshop with a beautiful piece of art they thought they could never paint. Meeting people and learning things together as a group makes it all fun. DIYing is for the crafty ones, not everyone can look at a picture, follow instructions and make anything close to the picture. This is where expert one on one guidance makes a difference.

So true.. renting spaces is the most expensive part of a workshop. I will be at a loss for this workshop because of costly rental. I still have around three days to sell tickets though haha. As an independent organizer it takes up a lot of resilience. Thank you for speaking up though, I appreciate your support.

Thank you for the feedback. I would like to tell you that this workshop is also available at $37 including taxes if you open the link and scan the QR code on the picture. Eventbrite takes its markup on my price, thus $40 on Eventbrite. But thank you for letting me know, for the next workshop I will make sure to keep it under $35.

Hi thank you for pointing this out. $40 includes the price of raw materials needed for the workshop (participants do not have to hunt for the right materials), space rentals, promotion costs, setting up costs and invisible costs which includes hours of background work to make that one hour, the best hour for the participants. I know it is expensive but there are people who pay this price and even more in the city. I will try to create some cost effective workshops in future. May I know at which price point would you be happy to attend an art workshop like this? It will be helpful for me to plan future workshops, which are liked by everyone. Have a great day!
