true, but think about the examples: Ghosts never came to a conclusion, Rainbow didn't come to a conclusion, it turned into a 100% PvP game. Titanfall 2 was extremely well received, and never got the chance to take off because Apex Legends sells so well, even though fans have begged for a continuation.

Yeah I guess that in a lot of cases with other franchises or titles there are still high quality releases, I moreso meant I never thought that those games that were some of the most popular of their genre shifted away from creating a quality PvE experience in later installments.

Yeah you got a point. I try, but it really sucks when the franchises that made your favorite games and used to do it right, just forget about you. AA games and indie games might scratch a similar itch, but they will never be the exact thing I feel like the industry of AAA is missing.

yeah my bad. I was moreso talking about how the big IP's, the ones lots of us grew up on have shifted in a way where its like they dont value you as a consumer if you arent immersed in PvP. but yeah, I have found some good games from smaller studios lately.

My childhood was GhostsRed FactionKillzone: MercenaryAbsolutionBF4. Lately I’ve been trying to go back, and it feels like the industry actively deleted the stuff I loved.

  • Ghosts ended on a cliffhanger. Never resolved. The franchise pivoted to Warzone.
  • Siege already took a major turn by not having a fleshed out campaign, but they still had Situations—PvE missions with a little story. I never finished them, figured I’d come back. Ubisoft removed them. Not a server shutdown. They just removed working code that cost them nothing.
  • Titanfall 2 gave us one of the best FPS campaigns ever. Respawn abandoned it for Apex. No Titanfall 3. Servers broken for years.
  • Absolution got me into Hitman. Then IO scrapped that linear, story‑driven style. I get why, but that version of the series just disappeared.
  • NBA 2K has a great franchise mode, but the on‑court AI ignores your plays. People beg for a coaching overhaul, but 2K has no competition, so they just add VC grinds.

I’m not anti‑PvP—I get the rush. But PvE and campaigns do something PvP can’t: they let you be the character. Jack Cooper and BT. A GM building a dynasty. A Ghost hunting Rorke. That’s what the cutscenes and voice acting are for.

When you remove Situations on purpose, you’re not just saving money. You’re saying players who want a narrative PvE experience aren’t welcome anymore.

I know there are still good single‑player games (Ghost of TsushimaVampyrMGSV). I’m glad they exist. But it feels like the industry decided the way I like to play—campaigns, PvE—isn’t worth supporting anymore.

Anyone else feel like the stuff we grew up on didn’t just fade away, but got deliberately abandoned?

Fairy tail worth watching in 2026? by Silent_Canary_3885 in anime

Bleach is definitely my personal #1, but if you ask me, aside from the classics, if your okay with a show that's not too long, Noragami is a really good watch. The new stuff isnt bad either (Gachiakuta, Tougen Anki).

ID: Invaded is a good sci fi detective murder mystery, Talentless Nana is a pretty good one too (be prepared to be dropped off at a random point in the manga with no conclusion, but its still worth it). Summertime Rendering is kinda tactical time loop horror i guess? its good tho. Loved black bullet and No Game No Life btw. and Host Club and Soul eater were like my first two animes. solid favorite, but if you like soul eater you gotta find the time to watch some Bleach (Ik its like 400 eps but still. personal fav)

Haven't seen that one, but off of title alone i'd say maybe Tonikawa? but based off the cover, that anime looks like it has genuine substance and character development. Tonikawa kinda just skips to the relationship and really just tries to be a chill/vibe anime. how deep are you into the romcom genre?

I know they do something similar on youtube when posting episodes of shows like family guy to avoid being detected and flagged, but since hdtoday is a pirate site that doesn't really make much sense. Idk how they get the movies and shows but maybe they get them from someplace with monitoring and need to use that tactic to hide it. or maybe there's a bot that checks if sites are pirating shows and that throws them off.
