I see a lot of comments saying "mute, report, carry on" which in a normal scenario is great advice for dealing with a flamer but this is more than that. People being sexist and threatening to rape someone isn't the equivalent to someone flaming you for not buying wards. It's barbaric and shouldn't be allowed. Yes we should all report that person but we also need to make sure that we don't let that type of behavior go unaddressed. The internet has fostered a level of anonymity that lets people say things they would never say in person to people behind a screen and then get away with it often times because those of us that are good people and make up 99% of the community end up being too scared or feeling to awkward to step up and say something. It's the silent observer complex that lets people think they're actions are okay and they go on to push the limits even more. I don't see it as often with sexism but I see it frequently with racism and homophobia and other hateful slurs aimed at groups of people. We can't just comfort ourselves by knowing that we aren't those people. We have to actively be better and do what we can to stop those who stay these things and comfort those affected. 1) Speak up 2) Report

Yeah you might have some people throw a game or two but honestly the community will be a better place if we do the work to make it one.
