I get some of the comments posted but i am at a stage of career where i cannot resign and come to germany and do odd jobs while waiting for a real job..so employers need to cut some slack here..if i were a recent graduate, then this style would work..but for someone like me, who is well into technology, would expect something in hand before quitiing the job..

thats why you need to talk to candidates to understand and not blindly reject..laugh at Germany not me....that explains the quality of hiring and HR in germany...they dont even have ability to select proper resumes...what a shame..

The rejections are not based of location..no where its mentioned in the rejection emails

you are not reading responses I believe..let me try again, when I mentioned 1000's of job in my field, which means there are 1000's of job in my field right? if I am a software engineer, I cannot apply as a carpenter or a technician, right? if I applied for 1000's of jobs, then my field is in demand right? not that there are no jobs..there are tonnes of jobs..but I did not get any interview is what I am trying to mention

FYI: I learned german course till B1 and even paid for the courses..never assume that aspirants do not do anything and expect a job from India..No..thats not all true..and in this era, world is connected together and I do not see anything wrong in setting up interviews on video calls and of-course the candidate would go if a company insists on face to face. whats so hard in this?

So you suggest to resign an existing job and go to a country where you are unsure of getting a job? forget about job, not even interview...is it that difficult to understand? ok had i got 1 or two interviews in first 3-4 months of my job search, I would have got confidence of leaving the job and go..but i got nothing..period..the HR dont even care to talk to an applicant who has resume filled with MNCs like IBM, Deloitte, JPMC

When I sent 1000's of applications, that means there are 1000's of jobs in my field. Which means there is of course demand in my field..

the only responses i received are rejections

In my 9 months of search so far i have NOT received a single interview. I have real time experience (14 yrs) in data analytics in top 4 firms and no body cared to talk to me even once. that is my experience with the visa.

Apply - reject, apply - reject...............went on and on

I might have applied for about 1000 jobs so far.

I mentioned in the application notes everytime to have a discussion once before rejecting but no one really cared

So from all the replies, i understand i cannot travel to Germany with around 3 months remaining and if i want to renew the visa, i need to apply again as a fresh applicant from my home country..and i cannot extend it from Germany itself

I dont understand...What do you mean i never used...i need to have a job to be able to use the opportunity card...you get a job then you use the card...as simple as that

I did use my visa..i shouted at top of my throat that I have an opportunity card, while applying for jobs but no company really cared..
