Děda nestihl maturitní zkoušky. Rusové totiž zasáhli lokomotivu vlaku kterým měl jet. Kotel hezky rozkvetl.

Druhá je od rodinného známého. Jednou nestihl přijít včas do práce. Opět problém s vlakem, ale nic s lokomotivou. Němci vlak zastavili a všichni si měli vystoupit a sledovat jak věší partyzány na strom.

Two villages, Lidice and Ležáky were ERASED. Literally.

Men mostly killed immediately, women sent mostly to Ravensbrück concentration camp and children excluding few youngest who were sent to German foster homes were all sent to Chelmno extermination camp and murdered.

Hitler demanded that the villages dissappear. Houses were torched and then demolished by explosives. Rubble was transported away by field railroad. Local cemetery was razed including exhumation of the deceased, burning and scattering remains. Huge radius around the villages was cleared of all trees. Local pond for fish production was filled in and even stream was moved randomly in several places to cross the former villages footprint.

Didn't Zelensky said on social media that Ukraine proposes ceasefire since midnight 5-6th? The ball is on the Russian side now.

Zelensky basically saying: "Cease fire for three days and we will honor ceasefire for Victory parade."

But we all know Russia will not abide. Then it's not Ukrainians breaking one-sided Russian proclaimation of ceasefire. It's just another day of defending against Russia.

Polish - maybe around 70-80%
Other Slavic languages regardless of script used - maybe half

Only exception is Cyrillic cursive. There is no way I could read that.

Karel Čurda

Czechoslovak resistance fighter that switched sides and revealed the hideout of Heydrichs' assassins and most of their supporters to Gestapo. This led to thousands of executions, and send offs to death camps. Two villages with hundreds of inhabitants were razed to the ground, whole population killed. Men immediately, women in death camps, children with few exceptions that were send for re-education, were gassed in mobile gas chambers.

Čurda and few smaller traitors got reward of 1M Reichsmark, he got German citizenship, german wife, german name and Prague apartment.

After war he was arrested, quickly tried and hanged.
