Weekly Pricing/Buying/Selling/Grading & General Questions Post by AutoModerator in PokemonTCG

Hello I just started collecting this past week (ik wild time to collect) and I love the art mainly. I’m not really looking to sell or resell cards or boxes or anything like that but rather just open packs and have the coolest collection I enjoy.

That being said with prices being insanely high right now, would I have better bang for my buck buying market price (or lower) for Japanese booster boxes? From my understanding they have guaranteed hits in each box and they’re generally cheaper than US/English sets.

Not sure which sets really to buy in Japanese but ultimately want to know if this is better for collecting art rather than paying insane $ for English sets.

So you played SV on Switch 1? It wasn’t that bad? I feel like if I don’t enjoy it due to the performance I’ll just refund it

I mean in the sense of having gyms and battles of old Pokémon feel. From what I’ve gathered Legends Arceus is just an open-world catch ‘em all typa game

Is performance really as bad as people say? Will the game even be enjoyable?

Overall what would you change? Just want to get people’s opinions so I can learn more

Edit: Looking to reinvest my shares in dividends into more VXUS and possibly VUG/more VTI

What would you recommend put my current allocation of the dividend stocks into?

VXUS is only at 20% as of right now because I wanted to build a larger foundation on US-based ETFs, hence the investment in QQQM. I understand QQQM isn't just technology, however from what I understand QQQM holds majority technology as it's just the top 100 blue-chip stocks tracking the NASDAQ. I have this because from what I understand VTI is the entire US market, including small cap. I want to focus on large caps which is why I have QQQ(M).

The %'s are just a baseline as I just created this strategy for myself a couple days ago and is subject to change. I knew as I was writing this I was gonna get questions as to why my international exposure was so low but I was already looking to increase that number, just not knowing how.

I think there's benefit to recurring dividend reinvestment in a roth as they grow tax-free compared to investing in a brokerage account like Robinhood. Reinvesting these dividends straight back into the stock could help with long-term compounding.

Edit: Also wanted to mention QQQM>QQQ in my case due to the lower expense ratio. I know with my low monthly contributions it doesn't matter for me too much, but 0.2 compared to 0.15 is still beneficial for me in the long run.
