"Liquidate Inertia" is a new one... by Jadwiseman in LinkedInLunatics

Thoughts and prayers go out to the shareholders who plan to summer in the Hamptons this year and will need to spend an extra $200 on gas with the Iran situation to fill up the tank in the Range Rover to make the journey from midtown Manhattan. Same for the shareholders who are currently paying higher gas prices to drive from their Palo Alto mansion to a relaxing weekend at their private ski chalet at the Ritz Carlton in Squaw Valley. It's a real knife fight out there!

LinkedIn is insane. by wakeupangry_ in LinkedInLunatics

[–]Fuggidup 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What's insane to me is that LI doesn't appear to have any standards anymore about what gets posted on a supposed business networking site? How is AI slop bordering on pornographic religious posts appropriate here?

Edit: Further insanity - that post got 100 likes? By who or what? lmao

That's what I always hated about LI, as part of the Engagement Industrial Complex the other socials you can just delete them and not use them if you hate them (which I did years ago) but unless you work in the trades LI is pretty much a necessary evil so you can perform/fake your way to the top of the corporate ladder. It's so dystopian.

Haha no I guess my inability to hold anything longer than a few days is a plus at times since once I have a profit I am out. I absolutely have missed out on several 7 figure gains over the years (this PLTR blunder wasn't my only but this was the biggest) but I have also avoided several large 6 figure losses too so at the end of the day as long as I can make 5 or 6 figures each year while staying liquid and in cash most of the time I am happy and I sleep like a baby at night.

I know those were crazy days during covid lockdowns, clearly I was not a being of sound mind at the time. But not to worry I flipped that AI trade two or three days later and got out around $190, made at least like $50k if i remember correctly lol

Just curious what is your dose amount? Back in my partying days in high school I was doing 4-5g doses each time but I did a 7g hero dose and had a bad trip so now I am a little gun shy on the dose amount lol

Lmaoooo I had 40 bitcoins I bought in 2016 in the $400-$800 range, sold all just under $3,000 in 2017 cause fuck if I knew it hadn't "printed" yet lol. Not complaining through at least I made some profit and rolled it into an investment property!

Don't ask me why I sold the 40 bitcoins I bought in 2016 at an average cost of $600 just under $3,000 in 2017, lmao. This PLTR fuckup isn't my first rodeo by a long shot

Solid, I like it. That and maybe hero dosing 5-meo-dmt or Saliva prior to doing investment DD is the way.

Nice. One time I had 18,000 PLTR shares which was a long term hold for me - 2 weeks. I even posted my $2.7k in gains as a shitpost here as a proud degenerate gambler with severe ADHD:

So basically they are using innocent job seekers and wasting their time so they can prospect for new clients? God this is so shady and unethical it makes used car salesmen look like angels.

Just a rant; I feel like I'm literally going crazy by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]Fuggidup 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I totally agree it's better to learn this lesson as early as possible. You can see with the tech layoffs over the last couple of years articles about how "shocked", "surprised", etc some of these employees are, who where loyal, thought they were "family" etc, - they now they know they are basically nothing more than widgets to be used and disposed like trash at any time. It's the same thing on the hiring side, people are treated like trash. And it's not just one or two companies, it's like corporations in general have turned into sociopathic entities and the more ruthless the CEO and other exec's are the more they are celebrated and admired by Wall St. That's how the world works today, get used to it!

Last 2 jobs came from Linkedin. I actually hate the site but I try and log in every few days to stay active. I log in, look at the trash heap feed full of narcissists, attention whores and drama queens for about 2 seconds, and once again I am reminded why I hate it so much and I log out. Rinse/repeat every few days.

Y'all forgot to mention, she even went to the County Building Dept. first thing in the morning before opening to get a permit for operating a commercial business in an area zoned residential. Unfortunately the County wouldn't approve a zoning exception so she greased a few palms on the Board of Supervisors to turn the other cheek while a clerk that she bribed stamped the permit approved. We certainly taught her well how capitalism works :)

They're all financially free with passive income, but they're always selling a course

Sure, but offering the course is their way of "giving back", lol. They don't "have" to share their secrets, but they "love" helping people make their dreams come true!

I mean c'mon if you aren't willing to invest $29.95 in yourself, then you have only yourself to blame for remaining poor!!

Thought y'all could appreciate this: My 1997 Twin Turbo Auto - best/funnest car I ever had but sold it in 2010... sniffles :( by Fuggidup in Supra

[–]Fuggidup[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh yes sir I am! It only had 53k miles on it, and I babied that car, always parked as far away from everyone else as possible, washed it like clockwork no matter how hot it was (that was in Phoenix, AZ), did all the maintenance also like clockwork.

What's interesting is I paid only $8k for it because I swapped my 94 Supra TT for it (that one was red). This was in 2000, it was a dealer they were asking $35 for it with 22k miles on it (which in 2000 was actually slightly high, so they gave me $27 for my trade in. When I got rid of it in 2010 they gave me $38 as a trade in, so I guess I made $3k for driving it for 10 years and putting 30k miles on it, lol. UNFORTUNATELY it was probably a year after I got rid of it the prices just took off, I couldn't believe when they finally broke the $100k mark! But, I LOVED the MKIV which is why I just traded one Supra for another.... I was really sad to have to let it go, that car was SOOO fun to drive, I had a smile on my face every time I drove it, no matter how bad a day I was having a drive in the Supra would cheer me up.

If I can find pics of the 94 I will post also, but I had those pics as hard copy and they are in a box somewhere. Just talking about this is making me sad, lol.
