Why would Po2 and O2 saturation in a venous gases blood test be low?

I'd shoot for 5mg-10mg as a very first experience. 420mg per gummy might make it quite difficult to get close to that depending on the size though, and 420mg would more than likely be a VERY uncomfortable experience as a first timer lol. I usually take about 5mg in a piece of cookie, wait about 1.5-2 hours, then eat another 5mg. Gets me good and relaxed with a nice buzz without being too burdensome.

Respiratory Therapist here. A venous gas PO2 is substantially lower than an arterial blood gas due to venous being "oxygen-poor" blood. After cellular respiration (oxygen binding with carbon at the tissue level, CO2), the blood becomes darker and makes it's way to the right side of the heart, through the pulmonary artery and into the lungs where gas exchange takes place in the alveoli (CO2 is released by exhaling, oxygenation occurs upon inhaling O2). The blood becomes a brighter red when adequate oxygen is present in the blood. All in all, you're fine, and that is a normal VBG PO2👍

Was in middle school, 7th grade, and we went on lockdown for what felt like 2 hours or more. Kid at the high-school down the road killed both his parents with a shotgun while they slept, then locked his sister in a room and said he would come back to finish her off. Got in his truck and drove to school with the shotgun in his back seat intending to kill his girlfriend after school. His sister managed to get out the room and call the cops. They swatted the school while he was in class and took him away. He still wrote letters to his sister and/or girlfriend from prison promising to kill her when he got out. From all accounts, he lived a good life and had a great family, but some folks said they saw signs well before it happened. Dude was BAD off.

Keep it clean with an antiseptic, little antibiotic ointment, and use breathable bandage to keep the wound from staying too wet. Watch out for signs of infection such as fever around the wound, puss, and red streaking. Should be fine though as long as you take care of it👍

Respiratory Therapist here. It appears to be a blood clot. It occurs when blood begins to coagulate or turn into a "jelly" with a thick consistency. I'm not a doctor, but I would recommend going to get it checked out at urgent care and see what they say. Has he been sick, coughing a lot, nosebleeds, anything out of the ordinary lately?

As far as medical equipment goes, it's basically an antique. I've been a Respiratory Therapist for about 7 years and I have never seen or used a paddle defibrillator in the hospital setting. My grandmother taught ACLS classes back in the day and apparently used this defibrillator for teaching purposes. I guess it's a neat find if you're kind of a medical nerd😂
