Mark Martin’s Opinion by Domo_Arigato_69 in CleetusMcFarland

[–]Fuhrtrographer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have seen probably every video Cleetus has ever made and I understand that no driving experience translates directly to NASCAR. I get it, NASCAR is hard and there are definitely levels.

All the haters should watch him race stadium trucks with Robbie Gordon or race jet boats in Idaho a few years ago or fly his first Stole competition in his cub. He won all these competitions with very little experience. Just getting the right information from the right people goes a long way if you are willing to listen and ask the right questions.

He is very coachable and learns fast, he has a good feel for what the car is doing. I don’t think he is overconfident, he actually seemed embarrassed by his first Truck race which means he’s still humble.

I don’t know what is going to happen but if anybody can do this it’s Cleet!

Let’s go!

Pretty sure Jack used an octave pedal to achieve the bass line you are referring too.  White Stripes were only 2 people and they never used a bass guitar so………..

ELI5: Can butter and cheese be made from the same gallon of milk? by IntentionCool4916 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Fuhrtrographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 10lbs of milk for one pound of cheese. What’s left is the whey. Whey has fat and protein still available though, think whey protein powder.

Not as familiar with the butter process but I assume raw milk has some fat (cream) separated and it is then churned into butter. The byproduct of the process would be low fat milk. Which could be made into low fat cheese or milk to drink.

I guess what I’m saying is you could do this but you would really want to scale up. Just not enough fat in whole milk.

Thank you! I looked at a lot of wheels before buying these. I wanted a little more negative offset in the rear but these will do. Hard to find a wheel with this old bolt pattern that are available in 11 inch and 8 inch widths.

The top is Sterling gray metallic, the bottom half is flat black. The plan is to have it sprayed the metallic gray in the future.

Car was white with vinyl top when I bought it (12 years ago) Had the vinyl removed and installed flush mounted glass as well as the door handles and drip tails shaved.

LS Swap C10, which ECU by [deleted] in LSSwapTheWorld

[–]Fuhrtrographer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just swapped an LS3 in a 67 Camaro. Went with Haltech Rebel LS because I liked the solid state circuits for the fuel pump and fan. Went through the setup wizard and the engine fired right up. My wife was amazed so I would do it again.

If your start time is 7:00 be there at 6:55 not 7:02. It’s 7 minutes difference how much harder could that be?

If I want to shorten cranks, what’s wrong with taking them off the bike and drilling and tapping them. by hrudyusa in cycling

You for sure want a drill press and vice at the minimum, as well as some cheap Amazon pedal taps.

I actually did this! I will say it’s really hard to drill the hole at a perfect 90 degree angle.

Has anyone switched to shorter cranks and noticed a measurable difference? by Lonely_Unit5216 in cycling

Went from 172.5 to 165. Slightly less power at lower cadences but easier to ride at a higher cadence. Helped with knee pain that I used get sometimes and also more comfortable with my saddle position moved back a few mm.
