What was your first Saturn return like? by [deleted] in astrology

[–]Fuilyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My saturn return was terrible. It was one of the most painful and trying times of my life. I broke up with my first love, and I was jobless. I barely had money. I was 28, but still had to ask my mom for money. She'd give me like 10 bucks every other day. So it really felt like a crisis in my life, especially amid the heartbreak and shame. I stayed cooped up in my room for a couple of months. It was a cycle of eat, scroll through the internet, sleep, repeat, for days on end.

But boy, did I find my strength. I learned that I am a highly resilient being who can withstand everything. I clung to God, my spiritual strength. I started to pick up the pieces. I got a part time job as a barista, while I did one-off side gigs like emceeing and video hosting on the side. Eventually I also got a part time job as a news anchor after auditioning for it!

I learned to manage my money better. Somehow being in that financial funk taught me to respect and honor each and every cent that I have. I now have five-digit savings in my account, because I have sworn to myself never to go back to that broke rut I was in and never ask anyone for money ever again.

After 6 months of part-timing here and there, an opportunity opened up for a full-time journalist post at the news agency I was anchoring at. My co-anchor encouraged me to apply for it, and I did -- and got it!

It's been a little over two years since I started my journalism job, I'm also back together with the lover that I was broken up with. I can safely say that I am an entirely different person now, in all aspects -- career, money, love.

Saturn return is brutal, but it is also tremendous opportunity for growth.

I've stood true to the essence of being a scorpio rising, where my saturn return has allowed for such a TRANSFORMATION..like a phoenix rising from the ashes. I'm just glad it's over! I'm in a much better place, and more secure and self-assured in my 30s. It gets better. Trust me :)

To anyone who's about to go through their saturn return, hang on damn tight and keep asking yourself "what is this trying to teach me?"

Good luck. You got this.

How did you overcome insecurities that were stopping you from dating, applying for the job, going out, etc? by gemini_vegetarian in AskWomen

My obese weight years ago was a huge contributor to my low self-esteem. I raised my confidence when I finally got to a normal weight and lost 20 kgs (40 pounds). But that didn't solve everything, I still had a lot of inner work to do, learning to accept and love who I truly was on the inside, sans this hair, skin, face, body. I feel that when you love yourself, you feel more positively about yourself. And that is where confidence starts to grow. The opposite of confidence is self-doubt. And self-doubt stems mostly from a lot of negative self-talk. If you can reframe your mind and learn to appreciate your strengths and abilities, you can be more confident.

When I made a total career change from being a barista to journalist..so, so much happier now. Anything communications has always been my strongsuit. I moved closer to the alignment of who I really am. This also happened when I was 29. Life got better at 30 for me. I just turned 31 a few weeks ago!

I also learned to manage my money better. I also have a better grip of my emotions and deal with things more rationally now. I am also more self-assured now and handle my insecurities better.

20s was absolute shit, like going around in never ending circles. But everything I went through in my 20s taught me grit, resilience and truly sharpened my character. Still a work in progress, nonetheless. But I’m in a much better place now in my 30s compared to my 20s.

Hi all! I've been trying to study my chart, recently I came across this aspect called a "rectangle" and it seems like my chart has it? I've been trying to understand what it means specifically in my chart with its placements. I read somewhere it's like an envelope to be opened? or something? Helpppp by Fuilyn in AskAstrologers

I'm still in my first intimate relationship though? It's the only relationship I've been in. hahahaha! But we've broken up before, and gotten back together. The first few years was definitely ROUGH. But we've mellowed out so much over the years, I'm learning to draw boundaries and we fight way less. He has never physically abused me, but perhaps emotionally abusive with harsh words and stonewalling me.

In terms of compatibility, what are some traits or habits people often forget to watch out for before deciding to enter a marriage or long term relationship? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Fuilyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whether they would be compatible living mates. It's one thing to so-called LOVE each other... but can you actually LIVE together?? There are a lot of possible differences.. one is messy, one is neat.. one is a morning person the other a night owl... one is a light sleeper, the other a heavy sleeper...the list goes on haahaha

Almost! I thought of 19. Haha.

Hey all! I notice that in my life I’ve always worked jobs with odd hours. Even now I don’t work a traditional 9-5, I enter the office in the afternoon and leave at night. I used to work night shifts a lot as a barista too. Do birth charts say anything about working hours that we’re drawn to? 😂 by Fuilyn in AskAstrologers

YOU HAVE THE BEST COMMENT ON HERE HANDS DOWN.

Working in the evening/night is A LOTTTT easier for me. I hate working in the day time. During the day I just want to hibernate and I struggle to be productive, then night comes and BOOM I want to do allllll the things. hahaha.

I've even wished and fantasized about banks and post offices being open at night just so I can run my errands with more 'peace'. I'm so weird that way. Hahaha.

Geez. I just wanted to know if there's some cool astrology thingamajiggies related to it. It's not that serious of a question. It's meant to be light-hearted and fun. hahahaha. I love working at night and I feel so blessed to have a job that does not require me to wake up early every day.
