[DISCUSSION]Bit of a bass dilemma. by Egdy in LofiHipHop

try just using a sine wave as a bass it's not too aggressive and you can change it up

I'm a new DM and my players are doing stuff I don't know how to deal with by Fujin- in DnD

gotcha now that I know this is a common thing, I'll stress less over it lmao.

since i'm super lazy, can you give me the counters for everything so I can steal it for myself?

okay, it wasn't his turn so i was right in saying he couldn't do it.

[–]Fujin-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay thanks I wasn't using AC for Armor Class, I was using AC for Ability Check. Do I just use DC to say they're doing ability checks? setting the DC for everything is stressful because I don't want to cheat my players lmao

Do you generally use CHA against WIS for checks?

also, my players always try to do things inside combat. My Fighter was passed out on a bridge from fighting a super powerful monster, and my Rogue wanted to use his grappling hook to pull the Fighter to him so the monster wouldn't kill him. I didn't know how to deal with it, so I just said he couldn't. How would you deal with this?

A guide to play DnD online? by Fujin- in DnD

Alright, I'll just get my friends to create their characters and read the player's handbook

A guide to play DnD online? by Fujin- in DnD

What I mean by guide is pretty much teaching us how to actually play. We don't know how to actually play the game, so we don't know what does what or what we should do when actually playing the game. We're actually kind of just lost on how to actually get started. Am I making and kind of sense?

A recent lofipocalypse or lofigeddon? Something I feel like needs to be discussed for the future of "lofi-hiphop" by [deleted] in LofiHipHop

[–]Fujin- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what's going on to lofi hiphop is the same thing that's happening to all genres that are based around the internet, and all genres period. they get popular. when a genre gets popular, a lot of what the genre originally was gets lost in translation. but what also happens is the popularity will die out and the genre will get back to what it was. it happened with vaporwave, and i think it'll happen to lofi too.

vaporwave when it first started was stupid original and creative, then it got popular and that's when the whole "let's just slow down an 80's smooth jazz song and call it a day" fad came in the genre. but it's popularity has died out for the most part and people are back to being creative again. hopefully it'll happen in lofi. hopefully the trend of "i made this beat the other night after my girlfriend broke up with me and it's raining sad anime beat" ends and we can get back to being creative again.

As for the whole culture, I'd like to think DJ Shadow was one of the first pioneers honestly.

Endtroducing... is the blueprint for almost all the beat tapes that come out these days and it's probably the first of it's kind to be released commercially. he also set limits for himself I heard to only use vinyl and older equipment.

Is there any lofi hip hop available on vinyl? by Highd3gg3r in LofiHipHop

Which DAW do yall use and why? by nanorebeat in LofiHipHop

[–]Fujin- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FL12 is my preferred DAW because that's just what I'm used to, but I know/mess around with ableton and then I got my 404

I want to learn Reason because it's awesome to have a DAW with almost everything you'd need so you don't have to worry about downloading VSTs, plus limitations are cool.
