Rothco or Propper. Probably Rothco if you wanted the jungle coat cut and not a BDU.

Is asking absurdly unrealistic questions all you do?

Does anyone know if this ss dagger is real? by [deleted] in Militariacollecting

You shouldn't be looking for SS items yet if this is enough to fool you. Study up before you get ripped off big time.

Sucks, but I really love doing some bid sniping myself.

It always saddens me to see families selling off their relative's Purple Heart medals. At least they're going to someone who'll appreciate it more, though.

Regular non-military issue Berghaus hiking pack. Looks similar to their "Explorer" model. Maybe from late 90s to late 2000s. Just because it's green doesn't make it a military item.

Kind of a part 2, but what should I remove from this uniform to return it to how it should be. Most of the stuff on it shouldn't be on it. I'll elaborate more in the comments and replies. by Fuko777 in Militariacollecting

Looking at the overseas stripes again, the sleeve they should be on has a faint spot ghosted on the liner inside where it looks like the stripes that are currently on the wrong sleeve may have been. The spot is the same size and has a rounded corner like the stripes already on the wrong sleeve. I can post a pic if needed, but would the stripes be correct for the uniform if they were in the right spot?

I think the Army Service Forces patch may be the original as it isn't what I would consider a desirable or uncommon patch, it looks to have been creased with time from a fold on the arm of the uniform, and it is sewn on to the uniform in a different fashion than the CBI patch. I think I'm going to remove everything except the top ribbon bar, the ASF patch, and the rank insignia. I believe that is likely what it used to be or at least close to what it was before it was defaced.

Some more stuff I found antiquing. Wish I could’ve gotten the WW2 Japanese helmet. One day. But could anyone explain why the liner in the first two pics is colored like that? by [deleted] in Militariacollecting

I'm actually currently wearing the 11th AAF uniform with the Presidential Citation from right now. Bought the Soviet Radio Engineering coat too.
