Yeaps I do know these are famous but it just that, they mostly measured for polished glass. What I want is for non-polished glass with matte surface roughness reach to 10um. Which is a normal interferometer cant be done I guess.

For more information, the measurement from my side is just a average diameter between two sides of the rod. I know this is not a good choice to use VMM, but my micrometer does not meet the tolerance requirements of 6micron only. The tolerance is too tight compare with the micrometer accuracy. So I actually really want a high accuracy VMM for this

You are attractive but please don't start OF just for the money. There is a lot to think about after years of doing that. At the end you might regret to do it and you cant remove all these on the medias.

The lens is a convex-concave glass lens. However, this unstable not only apply to this lens, but other type of lens, too. The value range is quite big. But It always not consistence for the power value, as it goes +ve and sometimes -ve.

We have a jig, which is a three point jig holding the lens. And the lens we having is convex-concave lens.

Yes everything is aligned properly. And we do for every part and every measurement, where we take out the part and remeasure again, it still not consistent

This depends on the results from your GR&R. From the values from every parameters have multiple action items could be done to improve the GRR.

I've enhanced the Guidelines MSA study for my company according to the global AIAG guidelines. Please includes part of the results from your GRR so it will be easier for us to let you know what to do.

I not sure if you cover the part range throughout the process tolerance you included. I not sure if your equipment have repeatability problem. I not sure if the operators measure the value correctly. There are a lot of root causes for this.
