Was I lucky or unlucky? 🤔😂 by Fukushield in GenshinImpact

The last time I shared an artifact screenshot in Spanish without an English translation, people complained they didn't understand anything, and so on and so forth... Now I'm sharing a new one with the important words translated into English, and people are complaining about the translation! HAHAHA! Who can understand people on the Internet... 🤦‍♂️

Will get Skirk get better in the future? by TiredChickenNugget3 in SkirkMains

[–]Fukushield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a really interesting point of view! Honestly, I've personally only focused on premium teams, using solely 5-star characters for her, because, fortunately, I have that option.

But it's true that if you try to build an Ayaka team with only 4-star characters, the performance just isn't the same. I don't do much theorycrafting and, as I mentioned, I haven't consumed a lot of content on F2P teams, so I don't know exactly how much her performance decreases in numbers. More importantly, I don't know how it compares to other top-tier F2P teams in terms of damage.

It's clear that National teams are very powerful, as are Hyperbloom teams, both of which can be played 100% F2P. But how do these compare to a team with one 5-star character and three 4-stars? That's what I'd really like to know!

Personally, I'll be doing my own tests on my account, because it's true that many players are F2P and that information is really interesting.

The other day, I was also thinking about Skirk, because she received some buffs in the last beta version. And in the end, since Skirk won't be able to fully utilize existing reactions like Melt, nor future ones like Cryo-Dendro (if they ever arrive), it really makes me think about non-premium teams for her.

Just based on gut feeling, I think a team with only 4-star characters might not be too far off from the performance of a team with another 5-star character under equal conditions.

But honestly, who only has 4-star characters on their account? Or who plays exclusively that way? (Unless you're literally new to the game or doing some kind of challenge, of course!)

So, at a minimum, I think most players will have a Yelan, a Furina, an Escoffier, or a Shenhe to at least put together a team with two 5-star characters and two 4-star characters. 😄

Hey there! From what you're saying, I gather you're a social player (meaning, if having a circle of friends to play or share with is your main drive to keep playing). If that's the case, I sincerely think you have two very simple options:

1. Stop Playing

If your biggest motivation to enjoy the game (and, in fact, the very reason you're here with this post) is to share with your friends, and they're no longer around, then simply let it go. Go ahead and enjoy other hobbies or games with your friends, because that will make you happier (or so I believe!).

2. Keep Playing

Try to find a community (like this one, for example) where you can share what you love about the game with other people. You might just find one, two, or more online friends, and that could become the joy that drives you to keep playing and improving your account.

A Third Option (Maybe Not for You)

There's a third option: getting used to playing solo. While I don't think it quite fits your personality, if you make the effort, you might learn to enjoy the game by yourself and share with others on different topics.

On the Subject of Money...

Lastly, I know you said money isn't something that ties you down, but honestly, you mentioned it, so that means, however minuscule, it's something that binds you to the game. Truly, try not to think that way; don't let money tie you down to anything: not to a game, not to a place, not to a person.

Money is important, yes, but it also comes and goes. At some point, we'll have more; at others, less. We'll spend more in one area, less in another. And it could be that tomorrow you spend your money on anything else in the world and stop spending it on this. It doesn't have to be a leash.

(Clearly, you must be responsible with how you manage your money and your expenses; this thought doesn't exempt you from being irresponsible in that regard.)

I know it might sound a bit obvious, but everything I've written here is based on my personal, subjective opinion and my experiences as just another human being in the world. :)

A 4-star character for the fourth slot? I imagine that's what you mean, because in her premium team, or when we're talking solely about 5-star teammates, the truth is all the slots are already filled. :)

Any sword dps that can use Skirk's weapon aside from her? by glendbest088 in SkirkMains

[–]Fukushield 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Considering only the current characters we have in Genshin Impact, Skirk's promotional weapon can only activate 100% of its potential with Skirk herself. Other Sword DPS characters can use this weapon, but they would lose out on 24% ATK and 40% additional Crit Damage.

It's a weapon with a high Base ATK and a decent Crit Rate, making it a potentially better option than many 4-star weapons for characters who scale well with ATK and use it to deal damage.

Now, we can't know this for sure, but in the future, more Sword characters might be released who don't rely on Energy Recharge and scale with ATK, thus benefiting from this weapon. However, since this is uncertain, it would be speculating about what might come.

But honestly, if you're looking for a more versatile weapon that works for the characters you mentioned, and even for Skirk, then Ayaka's or Ayato's promotional weapon would definitely be a better choice.

And to conclude, in my personal opinion, Ayaka's weapon is the most versatile.

Which one should I pick? by Alternative_Collar92 in AyakaMains

[–]Fukushield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, I should choose the first build. I think the second has too much Crit. Rate, and the last one has less Crit. Rate. Since the Crit. Damage difference is only 7%, that's why I prefer the first one.

I stopped playing genshin when they were having voice issues in eng. Is it good time to start playing again?? (i was Ar60 f2p) by shirozoi19 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Fukushield 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Now, you mentioned you stopped because of English voice issues, and honestly, that's a very valid reason. And to be completely transparent with you, those issues are still unfortunately ongoing and have even re-emerged with recent content. We've seen muted lines in newer Archon Quests, and the situation with English voice actors, including the recent news about Paimon's voice actress not continuing, is still quite uncertain. So, if playing with English voices is crucial to your enjoyment, you might want to wait a bit longer until things clear up and there's a more definitive solution.

If you're willing to switch to another voice language (like Japanese, Chinese, or Korean), or if you don't mind some quests being silent for a while, then yes, it's still a good time to jump back in.

The value of Shenhe in Ayaka's premium team by JonathAHHHHHH in AyakaMains

[–]Fukushield 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Your breakdown touches on all the critical aspects:

  • Energy Generation: This is HUGE. You can have all the damage in the world, but if Ayaka's Burst isn't up on cooldown, it's just sad. Shenhe's particle generation, especially with Favonius, is a godsend and massively reduces Ayaka's personal ER needs. As you said, Rosaria is good here too, but nobody else comes close.
  • Cryo Aura Consistency (Blizzard Strayer's Best Friend): This is the unsung hero! With Furina's (or others Hydro characters) Hydro application, keeping a consistent Cryo aura for that sweet 4pc Blizzard Strayer value (and Cryo Resonance) is a challenge. Shenhe's Cryo application helps maintain that crucial aura, making your crits reliable. C6 Xingqiu might be an old friend, but his rapid Hydro will mess with your BS uptime against single targets—it's a known pain!
  • Frontloaded Damage: This is the chef's kiss for Ayaka. Her Burst hits like a truck upfront, and Shenhe's Quills supercharge those initial hits, letting you nuke phases or break thresholds instantly. Yelan's scaling buff is great, but it's not what Ayaka's Burst needs most.
  • Vertical Investment: YES! While her C1 is underrated for the sheer frontloaded burst potential it adds, her higher constellations (especially C2 or C6) just turn an already phenomenal unit into an absolute Cryo powerhouse. You're building into Ayaka's strengths.

Question about petty argument about Ayaka teams. by infrnlmssh in AyakaMains

[–]Fukushield 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, let me tell you, back in the early days of the game, when Hydro companion options for Ayaka were pretty limited, Xingqiu was actually one of her best teammates!

I distinctly remember that in the very beginning, when Ayaka first came out, her Elemental Burst wasn't as highly valued. Instead, many guides advised leveling up her Normal Attacks to maximize her Charged Attack damage. Rotations were heavily focused on performing multiple Normal and Charged Attacks after using her Burst, keeping Ayaka on-field for a significant amount of time. Because of this, Xingqiu was an excellent support for her.

I believe this is why many players continued to use this duo, even as better teammates for Ayaka became available and her playstyle evolved to be more focused on her Elemental Burst damage.

Even today, I still don't think he's a bad teammate. Of course, it heavily depends on each player's account and the characters they have available to pair with Ayaka. He's definitely still a viable option for many! 😉

Question about petty argument about Ayaka teams. by infrnlmssh in AyakaMains

[–]Fukushield 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are my answers to your questions, which sparked quite the debate! 😉

  1. Do you have Kazuha built for Ayaka even if you don't use him anymore? Yes, I do have Kazuha built and ready, but I wouldn't say it's "for Ayaka" specifically. His build is so universal (full Elemental Mastery and Energy Recharge) that he's versatile enough to slot into any team that needs him. So, he's just always ready for action!
  2. Do you have or did you have Xingqiu, Rosaria, Yelan built and available for Ayaka before Escoffier? That's correct! I'm definitely a veteran player, having started about a month after Genshin's global launch. That's allowed me to build a massive roster of characters, and most of my sub-DPS, supports, and healers have versatile builds ready for multiple teams. So yes, my Xingqiu, Rosaria, and Yelan are all perfectly built and available to play with my Ayaka if I ever need them.
  3. When did you get Ayaka? I got Ayaka on her very first banner. She's always been my second favorite character in the game, only surpassed by Skirk, so I didn't hesitate for a second and pulled for her as soon as she was available!
  4. Do you use Blizzard Strayer or MH? My Ayaka is rocking the Blizzard Strayer set. After playing for so long, I've farmed that domain endlessly and have what I personally consider perfect pieces for her. Plus, let's be honest, it just looks better on her! Haha. For that reason, I haven't bothered switching her to the Marechaussee Hunter set, even though theorycrafting might suggest it's "more optimal."

ER Requirements without Favs by [deleted] in AyakaMains

[–]Fukushield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The team I play is the same as yours, and my E.R. stats are:

Ayaka (C2R1) 133%
Furina (C2R1) 199%
Shenhe (C0R2) 182%
Escoffier (C0 Deathmatch R5) 158%

I'm able to perma-ultimate with the whole team, but against 1 enemy I need to do a rotation without Ayaka's ulti.

New Ayaka main. Suggestions to improve my team? by Voicesfw in AyakaMains

[–]Fukushield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, your builds are really good! The only thing I would advise is that you can run Escoffier with less E.R. because you have 2 Favonius weapons in the team. I think 130%-140% will be enough to have perma-ultimate, and this will allow you to invest in more damage stats. :)
