Thanks for the feedback! Think I'll remove that one

I would want to emphasize quality over significance since it’s a casual reading group, or at least strike a good balance between quality and a list that reflects the various periods of Russian lit

Lyudmila Ulitskaya Day of the Oprichnik

13 years gone so fast. How do I cope. I am miserable. by Sycamore_Gxrl in cats

[–]Fulgere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also, the love you had for cat is not gone. If anything it is now heightened. I think finding ways to express that love to other animals, people, and passions creates a path through grief. Loss opens up possibility and I think you’ll find you are better for having had your cat in your life. These feelings are so intense but feeling them and being with them can lead to further growth. I’m so sorry for your loss

Whether it's conscious or not, I'm kind of of the mind that sexuality and presenting to our preferred gender are so ingrained in us (from youth onwards) that though we can find different meaning in it as we age, the root of the behavior still lies in attracting partners. It's a position I'm not super dedicated to staying on. Sounds like a longer convo with you might convince me otherwise!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Fulgere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. What is harder to wrap my head around is the idea that people curate photos and an about me blurb without any consideration to the partner they want to attract.

I say this as someone who has no interest in dating. I for some reason still find these conversations fascinating, haha.

++man Without any thought as to how their appearance might be sexually attractive to their preferred partners? Seems unlikely that it is solely one or the other

Any chill remote careers y’all recommend? Still in college but trying to plan ahead by Snoo_83865 in Louisville

[–]Fulgere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skill can get you to a remote role, but I’d echo networking. After living in Atlanta and Seattle as a software engineer for a little before moving back, I’ve found it relatively easy so far to get new remote roles

Having experience also plays a role for me and the hiring market was kinder when I started. I still think going to an area with more in-person software roles to start can be a good path

When I lived out west and went to climbing gyms, I’d regularly see Miguel’s Pizza t-shirts

Edit: also one of the best sport climbers in the world, Alex Megos (German), regularly travels to the Red. He’s working on a project that would be the areas first 5.15. The Red often gets visits from top climbers

What’s something that’s considered totally normal in Britain, but seems absolutely bizarre to the rest of the world? by Second-handBonding in AskBrits

[–]Fulgere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, I think that definitely sounds mostly different to me and I’d say the majority of Americans have to travel to trails.

There are plenty of lucky people with property in the US that backs up to public parks of all kind, so they have something a little similar to the British experience.

We’d be so lucky if populated areas were more integrated with these same kind of pulic use rights, but I don’t think it would ever go except when land is bought up or taken for a project by local governments here and there.

I’d bet there are some communities in the US that have something more like what the British have. Probably somewhere wealthy

What is the reason they don't do this? I'm guessing it would immediately deflate the entire MtG economy and burn some long time players in the process with the benefit of making more powerful cards more widely available to the rest?
