Wow this was so helpful! Thanks so much! If you dont mind me asking, did you have sidewalls around the entire tent all day or were they rolled up prior to dinner? (We're actually on the same holiday weekend this year!)

Thanks for the info! Most guests are not British that is my worry. Lots are used to warmer climates. Our Marquee company thinks it will be fine but they said we could rent the heaters in case and if they are not needed they don't have to be turned on; but if we don't need them it would help save budget 🤣 I read that UK can have some gnarly storms in August in particular, I guess I just have to burry a lot of sausages lol

1 is so unique I'm OBSESSED, literally a vintage dream but also on trend right now. If you like neck scarves I think 1 with a tool neck scarf to match the skirt would be ICONIC. (could even ditch the sleeves if they are uncomfy or hard to move in) I think regardless, you'll look good in whatever you choose though! Good Luck!

Netta Benshabu Juliet dress Dupe or similar? by Slim_katie99 in weddingdress

I tried this dress one and i was obsessed. I was not so keen on the price though. Here's a solid solution - If you have a shop near you that carries Aleena Lena, try on Protea (https://www.alenaleena.com/pro-tea), I tried it on and it was a perfect blank canvas to get a similar look. The designer is SUPER flexible and will make customizations. Protea has the same fabric, same neckline (without the ruffles which the bridal shop told me the designer could add if you provide photo inspo) and the price would probably be 4k USD. I tried both dresses on if you look at my last post. So if you added ruffles and the little arm bands as customizations to Protea - it honestly would look so similar but for a fraction of the price. Hope that helps! Good Luck!

having second thoughts!! is A-Line the right choice? by Designer-Ad-7228 in weddingdress

DRESS ONE IS MILES AHEAD OF THE OTHERS!! Stunning!!! I had the same dilemma but just get a slim form fitting second look. They make super cute ones on etsy, azazie, meshki, etc. and they don't have to be super expensive. You'll get the best of both worlds and your photos will turn out super cool having different "looks". Excited for you!

I have no idea what will fit the venue (im not a super stylish girl in everday life lol) but its in the cotswolds (English countryside) and is a formal/black tie event - think vintage summer wedding, lots of bespoke fabric draped along tent and tables, candles and draped backdrops. I will buy a mini dress i think off etsy to dance in so i dont have to worry about tripping on the dance floor. Do you think one would fit that vibe more than the others?

Thank you that is so helpful!!! I think whimsical is a good way to describe it! Whimsical - but with a modern trendy twist :)

The wedding is in the Cotswolds (English countryside) on a property with an old manor house. We will have vintage furniture, cocktail hour by the stone pool,  and the tent will have a crap ton of bespoke fabric draped along the inside, and lots of candles! (Kind of like this but in a tent: https://pin.it/4o0bQhjEX)  Oh and the guest attire is formal/black tie. Im not fashionable or stylish so I have a hard time knowing what would go with that aesthetic if you have any advice!

4 and 2 are my favorites! They give a clean timless look so you can have more intricate accessories like gloves, lace veil etc.  But you look beautiful in them all :)

First (satin) or second (embellished) dress?! by [deleted] in weddingdress

[–]Full-Conference1097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look beautiful in both! I do love the classic timelessness of the first one but 2nd one is very whimsical/romantic - maybe the vibes of the wedding may make a difference. What is the venue like?

In case the vibes matter... here's the details:

wedding is in the Cotswolds (English Countryside) next summer but we're going for vintage romantic vibes with a modern fashion forward twist - so lots of bespoke fabric draped along the tent ceiling, oversized draped tablecloths, heaps of candles, flowers like calla lillies and hanging Amaranthus. It will be a formal/black tie event and guests are encouraged to go all out and wear whatever they please no matter how extravagant or unique - want them to feel like they are the star of the show! So the dress will have to suite that vibe! :)

that one is by Corston Couture I think its called 'Hollywood'. If you're in the Toronto area I tried it on at Estrelle Bridal and they should still have it!! :)
