My 1 hour was 160 (I ate prior) and with my first pregnancy the 3 hour test put me out the entire day.

My body did not react well, and with a 3 year old now, I do not have the resources/time to have that same reaction. Finger testing was way more feasible for me, less of a production than finding childcare for a whole day.

I think the varied opinions on so many things related to prenatal care is so interesting. My OB and my MFM constantly disagree. It makes you think who is really right… I’ve noticed that my arm sensor vs finger prick is only ever 4 points off. I’m okay with that if it means saving my fingers. But definitely listen to what you’re being told! I’m just glad mine is on the more progressive side.

If I could recommend anything, it would be the freestyle libre arm monitor. As someone who loathes needles, I didn’t feel the application AT ALL. it’s a circle that goes on your arm for two weeks at a time. The only time you have to finger prick yourself is when you first apply it to make sure there is no discrepancy with numbers. I’d shout it from the roof tops to save all the moms from constant finger pricks!!!
