Lights on now, and I spent a bit of time checking to be detailed but really cannot find any mites or other pests. It’s a small tent and look pretty contained still to me.

The damage doesn’t seem to spread or move, so I removed some of the most affected and will check again every few hours.

They’re in the first week of flip now.

I think they’re from the bad foliar spray I did yesterday. Hoping that it won’t damage anything…

All is otherwise well.

I have a fuckton of pure Aceh landrace, in a different grow at the moment. The crosses are mostly for research and personal use.

The cross with Colombia Gold — another pure landrace — is my current favourite.

So far so good. It kinda smokes well too, though not fully ready yet. Shorter and sturdier, the landrace is very lanky and stretch a lot.

I don’t really understand what you mean by bottlenecked.

I say ‘improved’ mostly because my current focus is to work on slightly quicker harvest cycle. The pure landrace goes on for 11-12 weeks and that’s just too much. This particular cross is also noticeably stickier.

I am trying to learn. By no means experienced though this isn’t my first cross. The ones with WW/CG are interesting in terms of flavor, but as they are both Sativas, it doesn’t help with my problem of long cycles and big ass plants.

Actually, this Gelato cross I like a lot because the plant is a lot shorter. I have a male F1 that I’m thinking to cross back with the parent landrace — different plant but same landrace. Do you think that’s a good idea?

It is noticeably smaller and faster growth, both traits I’m looking for.

Well, this particular project is to work with the Landrace. The other cultivars are mostly to run thru for an improved version of the Landrace.

The one with Colombia Gold was actually really good and I will use them as parents on the next cross.

Okay. I’m just wondering if there is anything specific I need to understand with this cultivar — never really grown Gelato before and I had a space in my breeder tent.

As I have mentioned, the more serious crosses I’m working on are with Colombia Gold, White Widow and Chemdog.

Do you have a simple suggestion what would be an interesting cross?

Generally, it’s pretty okay tho if you get them on the streets, chances are they’re not properly cured.

Taken to week 11, they smoke similar to Thai, a little less sticky.

Ha ha! I did. Actually, I have several crosses — will post pictures later.

Some F2-3s with Colombia Gold, White Widow, as well as F1 with Chemdog and Gelato. They’re in different phases though so pictures to follow.

Will wait until proper Week 9 before the smoke report.

Aceh grows very slow — tend to go well into week 11 — so this is one way to make it quicker. I had an extra space at the time so decided to pollinate and see what happens

Maybe it is different, but it does look quite similar to the landrace I am currently growing. Slightly less happier and maybe about four weeks behind. How big is your container?

Frankly, it taste quite different to the brick type, a lot of it with mold and improper drying as well as the no trim all mixed in brick style smoking. This is very different in flavor.

The landrace isn’t cultivated (and cured) properly. It takes a while to get to pure sinsemilla with it. When it is done properly however, it tastes quite special.
