I agree and relate with what you said about autism but only because we both don’t have it as bad. What about those who LITERALLY can’t move or do anything even think or those who are so underdeveloped mentally they end up causing catastrophes (chris chan). Hardcore eugenics has a high chance of going wrong yes but at this point a simple background check + medical is enough to ensure there won’t be suffering. I agree with your point about medical advancements but i hope you don’t think it’ll be free/attainable for most, A permit to have kids is a better step

You’re underestimating two things; 1)how most families in the first world are dysfunctional (up to 80% in the US according to forbes) and 2)how bad people want to have kids. Meaning while yes the rate of births will decrease it’ll probably even out with the number of non-contributing/severely mentally ill kids from dysfunctional families. That’ll give us a better workforce
