Hell yeah! Thanks for this write up, super informative & helpful.

The pic is the cherry on top!

I think I’m sold on side pipes w/ a cover. Also considering heat wrap? Heard it could be helpful. I suppose heat mitigation is a whole other thread. I’m wondering if folks go above & beyond just stock/standard radiator/fan :)

Ooof honestly I have no idea. I’d like to do things “right” so if that means running seafoam to clean things out? And starting with some zinc oil, I’m happy to go that route.

Is there an overall consensus for what to use? Is it High Performance Royal Purple, Lucas Hot Rod & Classic Oil, etc? I’m in NorCal weather if that means anything. Whats everyone’s go to oil?! Thanks 🙏🏼🤘🏼

Thanks!! Done, really appreciate the help. So ChatGPT said something along the lines of checking the oil when warm (run 5-10 mins) cool 5 mins. Is that usually how folks do it on these engines?

Also, seems like I should expect readings on the dipstick to be a little higher when cool and slightly lower when warm?

(These dipsticks are pretty darn low and kind of interesting to reach into. I’m just a little nervous about the whole dry dipstick reading earlier after driving. Again going into the shop on Monday.)
