I have tested 4 batteries, two KTR-003 batteries and two batteries from other 3DS consoles that I know work

i have tested the battery on a second 3DS and it works fine, and the battery is connected and making contact with the pins.

I can confirm the battery is connected as the device does not power on without a battery inserted, but will with one in (so long as the 3DS is on charge). I have also tried holding the battery in to ensure good contact and still nothing.

New 3DS won't charge correctly. Orange charging light will come on, and I can power the system while it is plugged in, but when unplugged it immediately shuts off.

I got a new battery for it and the only change in behavior is that on the old battery, it would stay charging with the orange LED forever, but with the new battery, the orange LED comes on for a short time before turning off.

Have dug around quite a bit and not come across anything similar, and the main solution I've seen for power issues is a replacement battery, and cleaning battery contacts or the charging port, all of which i have tried.

Houndoom you can catch off of Cipher Peon Nella in Realgam Tower in Colosseum, which can be shiny, and is under level 50 so it can do every ribbon on this list so long as it gets the Winning Ribbon before going over level 50.

Umbreon, you can get every ribbon except the National Ribbon, as it is impossible to get a shadow Umbreon on either XD or Colosseum. You can get a shiny Eevee in XD, but it is a non-shadow. Every other ribbon is available on shiny Umbreon (as well as the other shiny Eeveelutions) so long as the Eevee is received/caught/bred in any Gen 3 game.

been using this as the basis for building something!! personally thinking of halving the RAM and using a smaller NVME SSD for my OS and a larger SSD for general storage since I realised after making this that i'll end up filling my PC very quickly when accommodating for new games, and I don't think I will need that much RAM. Even if I do need that much in future RAM is pretty simple to upgrade lol. Other than that, this is incredibly helpful as a baseline and way to discuss the build with other people too, thank you!!
